Splinterlands Art Contest 303 - Blackmoor Nymph Fanart Drawing [ENG-ESP]

Hello drawing friends, aliens and artists in general, I hope everyone had a good weekend, I spent it drawing, and I did it especially to participate in the 303 Splinterlands contest, on this occasion I have chosen the character on the card Blackmoor Nymph, a card with a great design that makes it look very powerful. For the contest I have made an illustration where I have tried to turn Blackmoor Nymph into a forest elf, the design that I liked was to do it like Pixar animation, illustrations and movies that I really like, I did it in this style but preserving the essence which is basically the color green, I hope you like it.

Hola amigos dibujantes, aliens y artistas en general, espero que todos hayan tenido un buen fin de semana, yo me la pasé dibujando, y lo hice especialmente para participar en el concurso 303 de Splinterlands, en esta oportunidad he elegido al personaje de la carta Blackmoor Nymph, una carta con un gran diseño que lo hace lucir muy poderosa. Para el concurso he realizado una ilustración donde he tratado de convertir a Blackmoor Nymph en un elfo del bosque, el diseño que me gustó fue hacerlo tipo animación de Pixar, ilustraciones y películas que me gustan muchísimo, lo hice en este estilo pero conservando la esencia que es básicamente el color verde, espero que les guste.

I have used a very special cardboard, since it is not cardboard for drawing, it is part of an art collection where some historical works are reviewed, it is like an encyclopedia but its pages come loose, I discovered that this cardboard is very good for drawing, it is resistant and also receives color very well, allows mixing and you can even use acrylic paint. Here you can see what the printed letters look like, I liked using it because I imagined that the final result would be great, I drew the face and then painted it with white paint to form a base where I could sketch each part of the face.

He utilizado una cartulina muy especial, ya que no es cartulina para dibujar, forma parte de una colección de arte donde vienen reseñadas algunas obras históricas, es como una enciclopedia pero sus páginas vienen sueltas, descubrí que esta cartulina es muy buena para dibujar, es resistente y a parte recibe muy bien el color, permite hacer mezclas y hasta se puede usar pintura acrílica. Aquí pueden ver como se ven las letras impresas, me gustó usarla porque imaginé que el resultado final sería genial, hice el dibujo del rostro y luego lo pinté con pintura blanca para así formar una base donde poder hacer el boceto de cada parte del rostro.

As you can see, on the white spot that I made with paint I made the internal parts of the face, such as eyes, nose and mouth, of which I started by painting the eyes which look very tender. The predominant color is green, as well as in the rest of the drawing.

Como pueden ver, sobre la mancha blanca que hice con pintura hice las partes internas del rostro, como ojos nariz y boca, de los cuales comencé pintando los ojos los cuales lucen muy tiernos. El color predominante es el color verde, como así también en el resto del dibujo.

After painting the face with a base I begin to give it volume, I achieve this by accentuating the shadow on one side of the face more, and the light reflection on the other side. So I'm also moving towards painting my hair green, above I've decided to paint a crown made of leaves.

Luego de pintar el rostro con una base comienzo a darle volumen, esto lo logro acentuando más la sombra de un lado del rostro, y del otro lado el reflejo de luz. Así tambien avanzo a hacia pintar el cabello, de color verde, arriba he decidido pintar una corona hecha con hojas.

Next I begin to paint the hair, once the rest of the part is ready, using a soft brush I begin to blend the colors. Thanks to the porous surface of the cardboard, the blending looks better, making the colors look more realistic. Then I add a few strokes of white paint mixed with water to make highlights in the hair, finally I draw a beautiful emerald necklace and this is how my illustration is finished.

Seguidamente comienzo a pinatr el cabello, al tene resta parte lista, utilizando un pincel suave comienzo a difuminar los colores, gracias a la superficie porosa de la cartulina, el difuminado queda mejor, haciendo lucir más realistas los colores. Luego doy unas pinceladas de pintura blanca mezclada con agua para asi hacer reflejos en los cabellos, por último dibujo un hermoso collar esmeralda y así queda finalizado mi ilustración.

I think that if it turned out like a Pixar character, these illustrations are characterized by making a very realistic skin within the canon of digital art, so it is very difficult to reach that level through colored pencils, but I have been fascinated with the results. Así quedó el resultado final, que les parece? creo que si quedó como un personaje de Pixar, estas ilustraciones se caracterizan por hacer una piel muy realista dentro del canon del arte digital por lo que es muy dificil alcanzar ese nivel a través d elos lápices de color, pero que he quedado fascinado con los resultados.
