Splinterlands-Social Media Challenge- Never Place A Ranged Monster On The Tank Position....
Holla splinterfans!
So i noticed the team removed all started cards from wide ranked battles, that means starter cards can only be found, and used in the modern ranked battles.
Well first of i diffinately do not why or how this update is useful, but its a good thing the team didnt scramble out the starter cards permanently. It would really be bloody for those just starting out and getting their toes wet
Anyways today am gonna do something different, have been playing wide battles with a mixture of starter cards and My owners cards but since starter cards cant be found in wide any more.
I used just my owned cards, lets see how that goes.
Ruleset
Its wild and am just exploring so they aint no ruleset for this battle
I got 20 mana cost on this battle, so choosing a team would be delicate to the core. I picked just 3 Teams from the earth splinter my opponent picked 3 from the water splinter.
My Team
Summoner/ Monster | Reason |
---|---|
Underboss Fabino | +1 poison +2 Melee |
Swell Spore Beast | True Strike |
Satha Toledo | Tank Healer |
My Opponents Team
Summoner/ Monster | |
---|---|
Prophet Rosa | |
Flying Squid | |
Sea Dog of eight |

The teams for this battle is quite small yet it lasted 8 rounds. I've got all the upper hands here the first was picking underboss fabino as my summoner who probably has the ability to poison a member of his opponent, the second was Satha toledo the tank healer who healed the tanker from the attacks received by its opponent.
ROUND 1: Underboss Fabino
Satha toledo was throwing all the attacks at the same time healing the tanker Swell beast. Probably this card has a ranged attack so my bad for putting him in the tank position
Swell spore didnt throw any attacks probably because he was at the wrong place at the right time. His ranged ability could not let him throw any up close. So that leaves Satha and Underboss doing all the work.
Round 2____4:
Sea Dog and flying squid did quite some job, Sea dog probably couldn't attack cause he was taking all the hits from Satha.
However Flying squid focused more on smashing swell spore,
Round 5_____8
The main thing i just wanna see here is How my opponent got defeated, Sea dog couldn't place an attack because of underboss Fabino. Swell spore on the other hand couldnt attack because he was having the ranged ability and placed at the wrong position.
So i guess the battle was just between Satha Toledo and Flying squid at the end of it all i came out victorious.
Summary
The most important thing on this battle is never place a monster who posses the range ability on the tank position. Aside from that when choosing whom to poison in your opponent team, poison the strongest monster on there to avoid getting Defeated by the strongest monster.
Till we read again, Kudos!
