Facing an armor protector - Weekly Challenge

Another battle for the week, this time with an angelic crossbowman who has been very popular in low leagues, for his high damage and lethal ability. Despite his slowness at low levels, by having him in a good spot and investing a little, you can get a lover of strafing teams with ranged damage.

From Splinterlands

In the first position are face to face Jared Scar, with a conglomerate of skills that make him a titan on the battlefield. BloodLust, typical of gladiators, which empowers him if he manages to knock down his enemy. Void Armor to help him against magical strategies, as these attacks will no longer be able to ignore his armor, although in this battle I did not use magical monsters. Also Blast which was for all monsters (because of the battle condition), which makes each attack affect nearby monsters, inflicting a portion of the initial damage. Finally Amplify as a defensive bonus.

In addition to this he received +1 armor and +1 life, due to the summoner and Djinn Renova's support. However, his slowness left him in a bad position, because the punishment of the archers added to the earthquake, made him fall before he could destroy my team. Gargoya Lion was my champion, who stood out for his Flying ability, which helped him to avoid the damage caused by the earthquake, besides the fact that with it the evasion probabilities were in his favor to avoid a hit from Jared Scar. Although Renova managed to do a lot of damage to him, he nevertheless stayed on his feet throughout the battle.

In the second position Djinn Renova, with a beautiful golden color, was inflicting magic damage and increasing a little the base life of her team. Renova was one of those who resisted the most, almost until the third round. However, the punishment of the Blast and the earthquake ended up making her fall. For my part, I placed "Luminous Eagle", because of its ability and good stats for the fight.

For the third position was one of the monsters that led to the title "Facing an armor protector". This little guy was in charge of repairing several times the opponent's defense, however, it was not enough, because the blast and the earthquake ended up finishing with the strategy. Maybe if there had been only earthquake, I would have been defeated. In my team was "Pelacor Conjurer", which at this level only shines for its speed, skill and good health points in relation to the amount of mana it requires, and for the third position was one of the monsters that led me to place the title "Facing an armor protector". Another armor watcher appears in rival terrain, "Scavo Hireling", also with Repair was restoring the defense, but ended up finished promptly. In allied airs was another Gargoya, one with a slightly more fearsome rostor. Also with Flying but this time with the "Close Range" bonus to be able to attack face to face. Although this did not happen because not enough allies fell for it to be in that position.

Finally the rear, which in the enemy case ended up being a "shot in the back", because by putting that tank with the ability "Taunt", it attracted the attention of my offensive, making the blast ended up knocking down their armor watchtowers, starting with the legendary "Adelade BrightWind", who could have been more in the battle with his flying.

The punishment that brought down the repairers quickly, started being especially devastating by the intervention of "Pelacor Arbalest", who with his double hit boosted by the summoner and the blast of the battle condition, became an explosive machine gun. Powerful but vulnerable, not having Flying to avoid the earthquake, although the punishment to the enemy was such that it did not give time for the earthquake to destroy the crossbowman lacking in flight. Together with him, "Thunderbird" made the difference by contributing to the defeat and resisting the earthquake due to his ability.

Curious fact:

In terms of the amount of money each team represents, the enemy had a huge advantage, however, not being a viable team to overcome the blast+earthquake+buff of ranged damage, they ended up falling. Many times it has happened to me that underestimating the constant damage of the earthquake condition, I ended up being dragged on the battlefield, it is possible that this was the enemy mistake.

My opinion:
My opinion? Is a very lethal card, you just have to see it in this battle, despite not having flying, she contributed a lot to the offensive, making the battle end before the earthquake condemned herself. The current price is 0.23$, due to the arrival of the new summoners and the great counter that comes against the damage at range, it is possible that it will drop a little.
