Next Two Weeks Should Be Pretty Special for Hive

It starts next week by Hive's prominent presence at the huge Web3 and disruptive technology event from Las Vegas, on September 13-14.

Hive is a sponsor, will have two keynote speakers (Crim and Aggroed), and from my understanding will have a huge pavilion very well placed next to the main stage with many other representatives of our ecosystem present there.

I'm quite sure representatives of SPK Network, Leofinance, jarvie from PeakD (and also Peak Monsters or Peak Open Projects) and a few of our games on site will be able to impress those who visit Hive's pavilion. More details on the official Hive announcement.

Then, the following week we have HiveFest, in Rosarito, Mexico, September 22-26. Many of the notable presences in Las Vegas who didn't have the chance to speak there will do it at HiveFest, and I expect a few impressive presentations.

It seems like a strategy to me and a very good one. Choosing the Hivefest location and time close to and after a major Web3 event where Hive has a significant presence, and making easy for anyone interested in Hive or the related projects from Breathe Las Vegas to jump to Hivefest the week after for a deep dive.

Allow me to run wild for a bit. I have some speculations regarding what might be unpacked by our teams. Remember... speculations...

For Leofinance, anyone following the Leo project closely might have a good idea what to expect, but even for them at least the rebranding was kept for that event. Maybe some secret features, who knows? Something else that is expected to see at HiveFest from the Leo team, is the first partial report on the results of the ongoing onboarding campaign funded by the DHF.

Their campaign barely started and we can see they are by far the highest onboarder lately (consistent over 40 a number of days). But I expect those numbers to increase.

For people not familiarized with the Leofinance interface and particularly Threads, I believe the presentation will blow them away. I expect there will be one or more threadcasts during the HiveFest and also, if that is ready, there might be the option to embed the live feed from HiveFest in the Threads interface, if I understood right what they are trying to do.

SPK Network/3Speak has A LOT of progress to show off since last year, to the point they can pick and choose what to present. I don't know exactly what they will choose. My hunch tells me they will include Proof-of-Access, because it's something people can easily grasp, and understand how powerful it is at the same time. And then, I believe they are pushing hard to have a presentable decentralized HIVE-bitcoin bridge. Even if that won't be publicly available at that time, if a working demonstration can be put together by then, it means it's not far off.

Here's the part where I'll speculate the most... Splinterlands.

Aggroed will be giving a keynote talk discussing the rise of Splinterlands, what it's like to build a viable business in the web3 space, and how Hive has helped create one of the most successful and longest running blockchain connected P2E games in the world.

This description of Aggroed's speech doesn't give me much hope that my speculation will come true, but still, I'm going to make it anyway...

So, we have these dates: 13-14 and 22-26 September. And these Tuesdays: 12, 19, 26 September, 3 October.

What I wanted to speculate on was that they will roll out Land 1.5 during that period. But the keynote doesn't seem to go into details on any of their products, including Land.

My speculation nonetheless is on 19th for the Mavs server and 26th for the full release (unless it's delayed because of what it's discovered by Mavs).

Seems like enough time to clear these critical bugs shared by cryptomancer in discord?

One can hope so.

Why would I make this speculation? Because Hivefest is traditionally a good, if not great time for Hive. Someone smart would ride that wave, if possible, particularly if it's something new to launch.
