Weekly Battle Challenge - ANTOID PLATOON
Antoid Platoon is a very useful low mana tank that protects the magic and ranged attackers in the back line. The monster is equipped with an amazing skill Shield that can work against melee and ranged attackers very well!
By putting Antoid Platoon in the first position, I secure the fragile attackers while dealing 1 melee attack. When TARSA is combined with the existing features of Antoid Platoon, it becomes a solid tank with just 4 mana!
Let's see how I used Antoid Platoon in my batte:
Fire element is hard to beat when you do not have magic attackers. Knowing this fact (already mentioned on my previous 3speak videos), I decided to set my team with some instant magic attack + Melee attack by Antoid and 1 ranged attacker.
Here we have 3+2 Magic Attack + 1 Melee Attack & 1 Ranged Attack.
The team is based on dealing instant magic attack to the tank of my rival. So, Goblin Fireballer in the last line and Antoid in the first line are here to initally protect Inferni and Apprentice!
As my rival do not have magic attacker, Antoid is a nice fit for the first position. Knowing that my rival will use Opportunity attack, I placed Goblin over there. There is no victory without sacrifice 😶
The Strengths of my team was that I examined the previous battles of my rival. Then, I set my team accordingly. In this set up, I needed a solid tank and a low mana ranged attacker in the last line.
Without a magic attacker, the rival could not eliminate the shield of my Antoid easily. When the rival wiped the tank out, the only attacker of his/her team was Deeplurker.
My major attackers did a great job to kill these monsters by using 5 magic attack. Though there was a healer for Deeplurker, it was not possible for it to resist 5 magic attacks each turn.
The Weaknesses of my team were basically no resistance to magic attack and lack of shield for magic and ranged attackers to stay in a good shape.
If there were 2 attackers with opportunity or sneaky skills, then both Apprendice and Goblin would be eliminated in the second round. In this case, it would be impossible for Inferni and Antoid to wipe them out while the monsters were healing! as the rival has level 1 cards, I was lucky for this time 😅
The Result is victory.
I believe the reason why my team outperformed the rival's team is the balance and the logic that is prioritized.
Though Rival was better at healing and hunting down the monsters with opportunity attack, my monsters played a team game in which each monster had a specific duty to perform.
These are the strategies that I applied. With 22 Mana, both my rival and I did our best to play a team game. This time, I was able to win.
