You can outsmart a Hive Engine or Tribaldex bot to buy packs at a lower price by strategically manipulating its bid range. Start by listing one pack and gradually lowering the price to discover the bot’s bidding threshold. As the bot tries to outbid you by a small margin, you can keep pushing the price down until you're satisfied with the reduction. Once the price drops to your target, buy the packs at a lower cost, effectively bypassing the bot that initially had the packs listed at double the price.

When dealing with wide bid-ask spreads for Splinterlands assets, it’s wise to see if you can exploit these bots for better prices. Since most are programmed to automatically outbid by a small increment, you can, on a low-volume exchange like this, push the price down for a few packs or however many the bot is allowed to sell. By using a single sell order, you can trick the bot into lowering the price, allowing you to buy the packs cheaper. This strategy works on virtually any asset listed on Hive Engine, Tribaldex, and similar exchanges.

I was able to push the price for these packs down by almost half by just moving the ask order down and letting the bot outbid me until it wouldnt do it anymore showing us the lowest price they are willing to sell.
