📍🐲Battle Mage secrets Weekly Challenge: Odd Ones Out📍🐲

Hello splinterlands warriors, how are you doing today? I’m here today to talk about this important rule in splinterlands.
Before I talk about it, let me delve into hive. I love hive so much and, and I was expecting hive to pump when bitcoin was above $70k; unfortunately, hive did not reach $0.5.
My expectation was so high because when #BTC was above $60k in 2020, the price of hive was above $1.
I was hoping that after bitcoin halving, hive would get better; I never knew that after halving, the price of coins would go down.
Hive is $0.23 right now; this is the hope we have; hive will surely rise.
I realized that there are many factors that determine when the price is up or when it is down. When i threaded in #inleo last month that, ‘in march 2023, there was a particular night that the price was above $0.41, and the price of Bitcoin was below $25 that time. This year when the price of Bitcoin was above $70k, Hive did not reach$0.5.
I got the answer that:
Hive selling pressure: this simply means that people are selling out their hive to meet their daily needs. This is one of the factors that cripple the price of hive; taking out hive, and spending it makes it a bad investment.
Someone replied that, “hive will reach $1, it is just a matter of time, patience is the key.”
I learned from his comment that patience is one of the keys- when Bitcoin was launched some years ago, the investors that kept their bitcoin are enjoying it today.

🐲🐲📍📍Splinterlands Battle challenge 🐲🐲📍📍
We are to talk about the ‘odd ones out’ rule- this is one of the oldest rules in splinterlands. For me, this is a mathematical language. This simply means only monsters with odd mana can be used in this battle. For instance, odd numbers are numbers that are not divisible by 2. The number cannot be divided by 2 for instance, 1,3,5,7, and so on.
Looking at the mana of monsters that were available for this battle, they were odd numbers.

Odd Ones Out
Only monsters with odd mana costs may be used in battles.
This is the reason there was no monster with even mana costs in this battle. That was why monsters like Cerberus were not available to use.

Born Again
All monsters have the rebirth ability.
When rebirth is activated, a monster dies twice in the battle. The moment I saw the rebirth rule, it was an opportunity for me to use a bloodlust monster in this battle.
I didn’t consider the mana cost of a bloodlust summoner, I was so sure that if I could use a bloodlust monster, I would emerge victorious.

Up Close & Personal
Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battles.
I understood that my opponent would prefer to use a summoner and monster that will give additional melee attacks to friendly monsters. I used two monsters with demoralized ability which reduced 2 melees from all opponent’s monsters except only monster with immunity was not affected.

Eternan Brune
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: All enemy monsters have -2 armor; and allow the use of one gladiator card in battle
I used Eternan Brune to be able to use a gladius card and availability of mana. The mana that was available for me was 58, that was more than enough to use any monster in this battle.

I'm always very conscious of first position: opponents seem to attack in the first position more than any other position. Therefore, the best position to defend is the first position. As you can see, opponent monsters attacked in the first position more than any other position.
Living was the best monster to use due to its shield ability. Health and armor. It took round 5 before it was eliminated because of the ability, armor and health.
I believe that if it was not Living Laval, it would have been very easy to eliminate by opponent monsters.
Living Laval was finally eliminated in round and that was the only monster that was eliminated in my lineup.

Fineas Rage
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 5 🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Reach
Health: 9 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 7
The second position was the only position Fineas Rage could be effective; though if I use it in the first position, it would still be effective but it won’t last long like Living Lava. This was because any melee monster can attack in the first position irrespective of its ability. At start, Fineas rage was the first monster to attack, when Fina Voxom began to destroy monsters, its glory was revealed, and the stats increased: the speed increased above Fineas rage. That was how it became the second monster to attack.
Toward the end of the battle, the health of Fineas Rage got damaged to 1 but was not eliminated.

Fina Voxom
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 4 🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Bloodlust and Opportunity
Health: 7 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 5
The reason I selected Fina Voxom was revealed in this battle. Its melee attack increased to 11 while the speed increased to 12 at the end of the battle. Isn't it a great monster?
Fina Voxom was the first to eliminate a monster in this battle- it eliminated Radiated brute in round 3, forgotten One in round 4, eliminated Tenyii Striker In round 7, eliminated disintegrator in round 9 and 10, eliminated Grimbardun fighter in round 12 and Grum Flammable in round 13 and 14.

Serpentine Spy
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥

Ability: Opportunity
Health: 2 ❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 3
One advantage of serpentine Spy is the opportunity ability, and that was the major reason I selected the monster. Serpentine Spy did its best in this battle.

Disintegrator

Ability: Demoralize
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 7

The strategy to use two demoralized monsters worked well in this battle. I was able to reduce to -2 melee from all opponent melee monsters. That was how I got advantage of my opponent! -2 melee from a battle where only melee monsters were allowed to be used was very fantastic. Without this strategy, most of my opponent's melee monsters would have attacked my monsters heavily. For instance, Tenyii Striker would have had 6 melee attacks, with this heavy melee, two attacks would have destroyed Molten Ogre; Radiated Brute would have had 4 melee attacks, which would have contributed to the elimination of Living Laval.

Despite the demoralizing ability, I used Molten Ogre as the last monster because of the high health .
