Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge- Melee Mayhem

Designed by Canva

Melee mayhem is one of the sweetest rules for me in splinterlands, this is because melee monsters can be used in any position. Therefore, when I saw the challenge in the Splinterlands blog, I knew it is the best moment to showcase my skills and strategy of fighting melee mayhem.

🔥🔥Rules of the Battle🔥🔥

Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters Can attack from any position.
This rule gave me insight that melee monsters could attack in any position; and that was the reason I used monsters with shield ability in the first, second and last position. According to these rules, melee monsters could attack in any position; so, I don’t have doubt about those monsters with shield ability, I knew they would attack in their respective position.
I knew the attacking force would be very strong in the first position, and that was the reason I used a monster with shield ability in the second position.

Rise of the commons: Only common and rare monsters may be used in battles.

Lost magic; monsters with magic attacks may not be used in battles.
Without magic monsters in this battle, I knew the best monsters to use. That was the reason I used monsters with shield ability. If the lost magic rule was not not included, I might not have used shield ability in this battle because it would have been easy for magic monsters to destroy monsters with shield ability. Hence, the best monsters to use when lost magic is part of the rule is monsters with shield ability.

Summoner

Helios Matriarch
Splinter: Dragon Summoner
Level: 4
Ability: +1 additional speed and use of a bloodlust monster.
What prompted me to use Helios Matriarch was the abstinence of Fire summoner (Malric Inferno and Tarsa). If any of these monsters were available, I would have preferred it over Helios Matriarch because of the additional +1 melee attack.
Well! Even, I would have used some of the Fire monsters if I ended up selecting dragon summoner. But, fire summoners were not available.
That was the reason I selected Dragon Summoner (Helios Matriarch) in this battle, which gave me the opportunity to use life monsters. The following reason was the reason I selected Helios Matriarch:
Speed: I understood the importance of speed monsters- they can make one a winner. Just like what happened in this battle, I won because of my speed which made my monsters attack faster.
Bloodlust: Unfortunately, Bloodlust monsters were not available for selection. It was the major reason I selected Helios Matriarch .

Monsters Arrangement

Sivershield Paladin
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Shield🛡️🛡️🛡️
Health:7 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 5

With the rules given in this battle, the best monster to place in the first position is a monster with shield ability. Monster with Shield ability is the best to use in first position because there was no magic monster in this battle. The presence of shield ability made it difficult to eliminate a monster in the first position.
That was the reason it Diemonshark was very easy to eliminate. compare the health and armor of Silvershield Paladin to Diemonshar, Diemonshark had more health and armor than Silvershield Paladin. Both monsters were eliminated in the same round.
If it was a Paladin that had such Health and armor, it wouldn’t have been easy to eliminate in this battle.
In addition, if not because of Swamp Spitter And Scavo Hireling that was repairing the health of Diemonshark, it would have been eliminated in the first round.
I knew Silvershield Paladin was the best monster in the first position, and that was the reason I used it in the first place.

Chaos Knight
Splinter: Life: 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 4 🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Shield 🛡️🛡️🛡️
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 6
It was necessary for me to provide backup for the first monster- this is because the strongest attacking area in this battle would be first position. After Careful consideration of the health and armor of Silvershield Paladin, it was necessary to get a backup for Silvershield paladin and that was the reason I got Chaos Knight.

When Silvershield Paladin was eliminated, it was Chaos Knight that led the battle and that was the backup i was talking about. It became very tough for my opponent to eliminate Chaos knight.
Chaos Knight was the last monster that was eliminated in my lineup.

Drybone Barbarian
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Enrage and Retaliate
Health: 11 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 9
I have seen the Drybone Barbarian in battles several times, and If I didn’t use this monster due to its ability, I might have lost the battle. If you could watch this battle very well, you could see how brutal the retaliate and enraged abilities were. It was the retaliate and enraged ability that destroyed Deeplurker and Demented Shark.

Silvershield Knight
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 5 🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Inspire 📍
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 6
To know How important the ‘inspire’ ability was in this battle, my opponent also used it. Since it was a battle of melee monsters’ battle, it was very important to inspire in my lineup because all my monsters were melee monsters. There were no other attacking monsters except melee monsters, and that was the reason it was very important for me.
That was the reason all my monsters had +1 melee in this battle.

Disintegrator

Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Demoralize
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 7
As Inspire ability was very important also demoralize ability was very important. Demoralize ability reduced -1 melee attack from all opponent’s melee monsters. If Disintegrator wasn’t in this battle, the opponent's monsters would have terrorized my monsters.

Grimbardun Fighter
Splinter: Life 🧬🧬🧬
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Shield 🛡️🛡️🛡️
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 1 🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 9
Since melee monsters are allowed to attack in any position….. I needed to protect my backline from sneak monsters.
Unfortunately, there was no sneak monster in his lineup, and all his monsters attacked from the frontline.

📍📍Round One📍📍

The summoner I used in this battle gave Silvershield Knight high speed to be the first monster to attack. It attacked and damaged two armor from Diemoshark; Diemonshark was the second monster to attack, it attacked Silvershied Paladin. Damaged two armor.
Chaos Knight was the third monster to attack, and it damaged 4 armor from Diemonshark; Coastal Sentry attacked twice, damaging the health of Silvershield Paladin to 5. Swap Spitter repaired the armor of Diemonshark, attacked Silvershield Paladin, and reduced its health to 3.
Drybone Barbarian damaged 6 health from Diemonshark; Scavo Hireling repaired the armor of Diemonshark.
Since, Silvershield Paladin was the monster with the smallest health, Deeplurker attacked and damaged the health to 1.
By the end of round one, there was no monster that was eliminated in the battle.

📍📍Round Two📍📍

In the beginning of round two, Silvershield Paladin was eliminated by Diemonshark, Chaos Knight eliminated Diemonshark, Coastal Sentry damaged the health of Chaos Knight to 1 and Drybone Barbarian damaged the armor of Coastal Sentry.
Deeplurker eliminated Chaos Knight, and the trample ability made Deeplurker to attack the monster behind Chaos Knight which was Drybone Barbarian. The Enrage and Retaliate abilities of Drybone barbarian were activated. The melee of Drybone Barbarian increased to 9 and speed to 5; Drybone Barbarian retaliated and eliminated Deeplurker.
The two monsters- Scavo Hireling and Swamp Spitter continued to repair the armor of the monster in the first position.
Demented Shark attacked Drybone Barbarian retaliated and damaged the armor of Demented Shark.

📍📍Round Three📍

At this time, it wasn’t Silvershield Knight that was the first monster that attacked. It was Drybone Barbarin due to its enrage ability, it attacked and eliminated Coastal Sentry. Demented Shark got eliminated by retaliate ability in this battle.

📍📍Round Four📍📍

Drybone Barbarian destroyed Scavo Hireling, Swamp Spitter could not be eliminated in round 4. But, it was eliminated in round 5.
