Pay and pass// Best cards in Today's Battles

(Edited)

Good evening everyone, how are you doing today? After the end of the season, I saw a ‘pass’ which simply means that I have to purchase the item in order to gain access to play splinterlands.
A day after the last season, I wanted to play a battle, I saw ‘pass’ and I skipped it. The next day I logged in, I saw the same thing.
Then, I realized that without buying the ‘pass’, I won't be able to play splinterlands. That was how I decided to purchase the item in order to play splinterlands.

I bought the pass with 2000 Dark Crystal Energy
The only thing I could do was to buy ‘pass’ and the moment I bought it I was given access to play splinterlands.

My Perception About ‘Pass’
I was surprised because it was the first time I saw it; but all the same, the pass is very important and was created for something good. I know splinterlands teams are working tirelessly to make sure splinterlands is the best #play2earn game in the universe.
I know more projects are coming into splinterlands and all the projects are to make the game the best.

My best card in today battles
As a splinterlands player, my goal is to win all the battles. That is the reason players are buying cards, and cards. We all know that the best way to enjoy splinterlands is to get 95% of the cards and max some of them. If this is possible, you will not only enjoy the game, you will also enjoy earning Glint and splinterlands Governance Token (SPS). To complete it all, you need a high amount of SPS to enjoy it to the fullest.
But the most important thing for me today is to get SPS, and it is part of my planning.

My best cards in today battles are:

Doctor Blight
If I could count the number of battles I used Doctor Blight today, it is more than 5 times. This is my top card for today. The reasons I used Doctor Blight in battles are the abilities- poison, affliction and camouflage. Though his health is very small, yet, I knew that it can only be attacked when it leads the battle or when a scattershot rule, monsters and summoners are used. I witnessed a scattershot rule a few days ago when I mistakenly used Doctor Blight. Doctor Blight was the first monster that was nullified in the battle.
The major reason I used Doctor Blight in today's battles were the poison and affliction abilities. I used him to poison opponent's monsters so that two health could be damaged at the beginning of each round. It worked well in some battles while it did not work well in some battles.
There was a battle I played tonight. I was expecting Doctor Blight to poison the blinding reflector; unfortunately, Doctor Blight didn't.
I was not happy because Doctor Blight was my hope in that battle; I knew if it poisoned Blinding Reflector, I might win the battle.
I also noticed that whenever a silence summoner rule is in the battle, Doctor Blight doesn't usually afflict or poison attacking monsters. That was how I got defeated! Therefore, when the silence summoner was among the rules, I was defeated even with Doctor Blight.
But, my winning rate was higher than losing rate in all the battles I used the Doctor Blight.
It was Doctor Blight that made me win some of the battles due to his abilities.

Water Elemental
I used these monsters in some critical moments such as when noxious fumes and target Practice were given in battles; I knew Water Elemental was one of the monsters that I could rely on.
I did hesitate to use Water Elemental as the third monster when target Practice was given and Venari Markstrat as the second monster.
I understood the target Practice rule; and that was the reason I placed Venari Markstrat as the second monster. I knew that range and magic monsters would attack monsters in the second position.
In the first round, Venari Markstrat was eliminated, and the Martyr ability increased the stats of the first monster which was Djinn Oshannus and third monster which was Water Elemental.
Water Elemental became so strong for opponent monsters to defeat. I won the battle.
I used Water Elemental when noxious fumes were given. The Mana I was given could only accommodate Sea monster, Water Elemental and kelp Initiate. The purpose of Kelp Initiate was to remove poison ability on Sea monster which it does.
Only kelp Initiate was destroyed by poison ability in this battle.

So Difficult To Play Going The Distance

This rule is very easy for some players, especially players with a close range summoner. My fear is that I should not be paired with players that use monsters with close range. I have never won the distance battle against a player with close range Summoner.
It is difficult to play going the distance especially when only giving ranged monsters and there is no monster with close ranged ability such as Drybone Raider and Gargoya devil.

Today, I used a Summoner that was not fun to use in battles. I wanted to use general Sloan but I ended up using Franz Ruffmane.
