Reviving The Glory of Brawl- New Dimension Of Brawl

Initially when Brawl was introduced, I was looking for a Guild that would accept me. I was searching for a guild because I was eager to be among brawlers in those days. Whenever I checked the discord channel I belonged to in those times, Brawl was a hot topic. I could not meet the criteria of the Guild I loved most in those days because I was playing in the silver league while the Guild was searching for champions; i.e. warriors that were playing in champion which was the highest league in splinterlands. And, I could afford to upgrade my cards to champion because it cost a lot of money; that was the reason I started little-by-little. That was how I kept on buying more cards, updating my cards, and buying parks.

The first time I was introduced to Brawl was one of my happiest days in playing splinterlands. It was a friend of mine that created the guild, and I was invited to join after he contacted me. With happiness, I joined the Brawl, and began playing brawl; I knew it was an opportunity for me to explore more.

My first experience was very bad- this was because I always obeyed the officer who designated the fray to select during the Prep stage. The message always popped up to select a gold Fray of which I did not have enough gold summoners to play. With gladness, I selected the fray of which I was designed; To my own surprise, during the combat stage, only two gold summoners were available for me of which I did not have gold monsters. Though I may win 2 out of the 5 battles, I wasn’t content because I wish to win all battles. I made use of different strategies with just 3 gold monsters that were available for me. It was so difficult to win all the battles because I did not have enough gold cards.

That was how I chatted on the channel available for all the members of Guld to chat. I was replied by the Officer that, “you can select the Fray that I can play very well” that was how I selected a fray that allowed any monsters and summoners both in new and old cards. I became someone that played all battles and won all. It was very fun and good for me.

I didn't look Guild in a dimension to earn, my priority was to challenge different players and win. I don’t look at the rewards in those days, I was happy to play.

One thing that I noticed in those days was that all players were dedicated to play. If I did not select my fray in time, I may not play in the battle because all frays would have filled up. I never knew it was possible that the number of people that were playing in my Guild were more than Fray that was available.
For instance, if the number of Fray is 15, players that were in my guild were more than 15. The entire brawl in splinterlands was very competitive in those days. Whenever we made second or third position, we’re always happy, and celebrated it.

We were motivated to play Brawl, and I played with my whole heart; I was always very conscious of selecting cards (monsters and summoners), there were players that waited until later hours to play their battles. This was because they wanted to know our position during the combat stage, then put all their abilities and strategies to deliver victory to us. This style really works for us.
There were several times our guild was in the fourth or fifth positions after they played their battles, we made it to second or third. In fact, there were times we made it to first place. Fortunately, when we made it to first position, we gave credit to those players that did a great job. Brawl was a place everyone wanted to be!

What Happens Right now?
Brawl was not like before again; players are giving up on brawl these days. The zeal to play is not like before. My Guild that happened to be very competitive- if you did not select a fray, you may not see any fray to play, becomes a guild that many players forget to select fray and play battles. The highest number of players that played our fray these days is 5, there are many frays to enter.
The brawl battle is going on right now, only 2 players entered the fray: out of 12 frays, only two were entered. I believe This is not only happening in my Guild, it is also happening in some guild also. I believe some players joined another fray while some are tired of playing it.

What Should be Done to Revive it?

If we delve into the incentives, the incentives are very good. The warriors, I mean players with bigger accounts, are earning substantially. I began to think the following:

Players migrate to a bigger Guild
Looking at my intention, if I have the opportunity to join a Guild that will make me earn more than what I'm earning right now, I will exit from my Guild. This is because I had a friend of mine who is earning 2X more than me, while my cards are bigger than him. Therefore, a player that sees a better Guild will be prompted to join, unless he/she is the person that created the Guild.
Hence, there should be a better way to keep players and make them focus. There are guilds that may still keep some of their players since Brawl was created. I think there is something they do to keep them.

Upgrade Store
Upgrading stores is very important as far as Brawl is concerned! Upgrading a store is like buying and leveling your cards to move up. The more you upgrade your cards, the better your winning rate. It is going to be very difficult for a bronze league player to beat a gold league player, unless the player with the gold league makes mistakes while selecting monsters for the battle.
I used myself as a case study, whenever I move to Diamond league 1 or champion league lll, my winning rate reduces. This is because those players have better cards than me.
There were battles I was paired up with players that used level 8 summoners while I was using level 4 summoners. You know, in this kind of scenario, it is only luck that can make me win; my chances of winning these kinds of battles are very slim.
Therefore, if I want to compete with those kinds of players, I need to upgrade my cards to level 8 or max them.
As a player that creates a guild, there should be ways to upgrade the store to a higher level so that players can enjoy greater challenges and earn more rewards. When a guild is still in level 2 for 2 years, such a guild may lose players or players may not find the guild competitive.

The Splinterlands team can also make Brawl great by adding value to it. People like valuable things! If there is news that ‘something great will happen in brawl’ players that have never played brawl before will like to join a Guild, more guilds will be created and more players will join existing guilds. No player will like to leave his/her guild except a bigger one is interested in him/her.

In conclusion, there should be a way to revive the glory of Brawl just like when it was started. Something should be done by the splinterlands team to achieve it.
