Rant - Why hasn't the Splinterlands proposal passed yet?

Splinterlands has become an essential part of what the HIVE experience is, so to see the community witnesses in particular snub this proposal is an outrage to me. Sadly, this shows me that this chain has become far too centralized due to the outsized influence of a select few. It also suggests to me that real change in leadership is needed if the few key witnesses with outsized influence can't seem to realize that Splinterlands is by far this chains best hope in furthering its own presence.

Every splinterlands user is a HIVE member. The funds in this proposal is also going towards a marketing budget for Splinterlands, and as a result to Hive-Power Upping' future members. This is a marketing proposal not only for SL but also for HIVE.
