Along with the Halloween Update, Splinterlands introduced not one but five new Rulesets in the game. One of these rulesets caught my attention and thought to myself, is this ruleset a nerf to EternalTofu? Is this ruleset a threat to the massive utilization of one of the most popular summoner in existence today? Let's discuss it along with the other new rulesets. Lezgow!

Lets us gently dive in to the new rulesets first.

Heavy Metal is the ruleset that only allows armored units.

Might Makes Right only allows units with 3 or more Power. Power includes Attack, Ranged or Magic.

Only units with 3 or more Speed are allowed in this ruleset.

Units with 5 or more Health are allowed in this ruleset.

All units will have the Reflection Shield ability.

Eternal Tofu has been the most popular summoner in the battlefield. Some even say it is the new Byzantine Kitty and the Mylor Killer. At first glance, Deflection Field might nerf Eternal Tofu because it will render Thorns ineffective. But Eternal Tofu is more than that. Eternal Tofu grants the Summoner Tactics Triage/Scavenge and Corrosive Ward/Divine Shield. With Triage/Scavenge tactics alone, it will ensure the units longevity in battle. Not to mention the units are given +2 health at the get go. No Eternal Tofu player will stop at using the card in Deflection Field Ruleset as it still effective beating armored units with Corrosive Ward or Flying units with Snare.
