Splinterlands Share Your Battle: ELVEN CUTTHROAT "Killin' Kron"
Share Your Battle Challenge
Elven Cutthroat
One of my favorite Neutral Beta cards! I own a 1 BCX copy of this card, for when she leaves the starter set, and I am planning to level her to 4 slowly. I won her in a Bulldog1205 stream, and I will never sell her!
That being said, for this particular battle, I want to use a Level 4 of her, for particular reasons, one being I am at 2100 Rating in Silver, as opposed to ranking up to Gold, meaning I'm playing with leaderboard players currently, and I don't feel very confident in a Level 1... uh... cutting it. Luckily I have one rented!
First, some info on Elven Cutthroat:

Edition | ALPHA/BETA |
Rarity | COMMON |
Splinter | NEUTRAL |
Attack Type | Melee |
Elves can be found living in many of the forests of the Splinterlands.
They live in the trees,
but come down often to collect resources from the forest floor.
Though the elves are small and beautiful,
they always have a seemingly endless supply of concealed knives,
with which they are deadly accurate.

Elven Cutthroat is pretty useful from the start, but gains a boost in usage once she hits Level 4, where she gains +1 Melee, giving her a lot of lethal hits, and making her very dangerous when paired with an Inspire, like Silvershield Knight.
At Level 10, her stats are 3 Melee, 6 Speed, 5 Health, making her a very fast, and hard hitting sneak attacker, though not as strong as the Splinter variants, such as Feral Spirit and Skeletal Assassin.
She costs about $4.00 per BCX in her Beta variant...
LEVEL COSTS
Level 4 costs $48, this is where she gains **+1 Melee**
Max Level costs $2020... Thats a lot of money for a maxed common, but this is a Beta card, so it makes sense.

As a Melee sneak attacker, in the Neutral Splinter, Elven Cutthroat can be paired with many summoners, here are just a few that synergize nicely. Tyrus Palladium gives her Armor, which allows her to tank a single melee/ranged hit. Lorna Shine is slightly better, allowing her to tank a single melee/ranged OR magic hit. Since I plan to go Life Sneak, these will be two of the summoners I have to choose from.
That being said, Elven Cutthroat pairs nicely with Malric Inferno, Daria Dragonscale, Peak Rider, Wizard of Eastwood and many other summoners based on your needs, collection, and desired splinter! I would argue that Daria Dragonscale might be a better choice for Life Sneak, but in this particular case, I am going Lorna for the extra survivability, hoping to get 2 or 3 bursts of damage before my team is eaten down by a sustain team.
ℙ𝕣𝕖𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕕 ℙ𝕠𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟
Elven Cutthroat is a very squishy attacker, but has very situational positioning based on different team comps. For instance, in a range heavy Death Comp, I would place Skeletal Assassin and Cutthroat up FRONT to protect my ranged attackers. In a Life Sneak build, I place Elven Cutthroat in front of Silvershield Assassin, and typically place Feral Spirit in the back, hoping the extra speed gives it a chance to dodge more, and using Elven as a meatshield for my real damage dealer, Assassin. However, in Low Mana situations, I've placed her position 2, with a Chicken in front to get a quick snipe on the opponent's backline before becoming my tank for 2 hits.
There is a lot of versatility here, and your decisions can make or break your comp.
ℙ𝕣𝕖𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕕 𝕄𝕠𝕕𝕚𝕗𝕚𝕖𝕣𝕤
Elven Cutthroat does really well in Little Leagues, where she is a very powerful sneak attacking Neutral that can take down squishy backlines instantly! She also performs well in the Unarmored ruleset, where her attacks can connect and do deadly damage, and finally, she's great in Equalizer, where she can gain additional health, becoming a tankier threat.
Not Recommended Modifiers
She is not at all recommended in many of these modifiers, Back to Basics and Fog of War are especially crippling for this card. Obviously, the No Melee and Even Stevens rulesets make it so she can't be used at all as well.
Earthquake and Poison rounds are bad for her because of her low health pool, and Reverse Speed is bad for her due to her high speed. Finally, Armored forces her to attack 2-3 times before she deals damage to any target.

Silence Summoners, Close Range, 30 Mana
A perfect matchup for a Life Sneak build, doing what it does best, completely decimating healers, and backline Krons. This is what this lineup does best, and it's my favorite Silver lineup for dealing with Kron in any situation, so long as mana allows for it.
I love Life, while my favorite Splinter is Death, I feel that my Life splinter is far more potent in far more situations currently, and I am working on balancing that out slowly, but for now, my Life deck cuts through the competition.
This deck gives you an idea of the power that Life can have in Silver, mercilessly slaying Kron, Nymph, and Shroom nearly instantly. Consider Life when renting!
