The Monk and the Snake

Xenith Monks created the Xenith Scale, a society devoted to enlightenment, knowledge, and the protection of others. Xenith Monks focus on expanding their minds to become more self-aware and strive to achieve pure balance in all things to understand and comprehend Mana and its impact on the Splinterlands.

How's it going fellow Splintermages? I haven't been playing the game much these days, but my bot is making it to the Champion League so I'm still earning plenty of Glint. I don't care much for the reward summoners that can use Gladiator cards since I already have MAX-level Chaos core cards so I've just been getting lots of common cards. I don't think it's worth spending 25,000 Glint to get just one Legendary card so I sadly won't be getting any more of those cards. I think we should still get reward chests at the end of the season like we did before because going to the Glint shop is just not as fun. I remember opening chests and getting many thousands of DEC and packs and jumping for joy with my wife. I understand why that's not sustainable, but it made the game more exciting.

Card prices are super cheap these days, but I lost my bank account TD Ameritrade to some horrible Nazi bank Charles Schwab in a buyout and they don't work with Paypal so I can't take advantage of these great deals. I can't believe it's 2024 and we still have all these horrible banks and Paypal calling the shots. I thought crypto would've gone completely mainstream and crushed those dinosaur scammers by now, but people are dumb and like getting screwed by greedy bankers I guess. I wish that we could get a debit card that withdraws from our HBD balance. That would be so dope and would surely bring in lots of users. If I were a big nasty banker I would try to make it happen. Has anyone tried to make it so? I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being decentralized. If Hive were centralized it would've probably happened already.

My battle today was my bot and it must have been playing another bot because they decided to do the same thing. It makes sense to use Tarsa and the monk for Little League fights because he can self-heal and that extra hit point can help. Their monk was more powerful at MAX-level, but it didn't matter because I didn't use much magic. Somehow my snake survived while theirs bit the dust and its poisonous bite is what killed their ants. I set my bot to play every 90 minutes so my power is always at 50 and I fall behind the other bots a bit bringing in more wins. My computer wasn't working so well and playing on mobile is not fun for me at all. Maybe it's because I'm 40+ and can't see the details that well, or maybe I have too many cards and it's hard to choose what's best on a small screen, but when I play on a PC or big screen I enjoy the game. I wiped Windows from my PC and went with Linux Mint as my OS so things are running smoothly now, so I'll be playing and posting again.

What about you? What is your strategy for Little League battles? Are you enjoying going up against all these soft and easy-to-beat bots in Wild too? They will soon require you to spend some DEC on a battle pass to play in Wild so I'll kick my alt accounts out of my guild and quit playing them and I'm sure a lot of people will do the same so there will be even fewer accounts playing than now. This is probably the lowest player count we'll ever see unless the game dies, but I don't see that happening.
