Brawl Report #107 - Brawls are still rough

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. It's been a few weeks since I missed the rewards screen, but I can still grab the battles that I had. I lost most of my fights like usual, but considering the fact that we usually fight 8 guilds, I got a decent number of free wins.

Brawl fights

There were 1 fights that I won and 4 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I won this match. I saw a new ruleset for the first time as only monsters with more than 5 health can be used. I guess my opponent didn't have many cards available as they didn't make the most of their mana. Due to this, it was a relatively easy win.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match due to the level disadvantage. My monsters missed a few times and my opponent just wrecked my backline.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match and my opponent just had the stronger lineup. That inspire monster gave him more damage and my monsters didn't last as long as I would have liked.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because of my opponent's ability to make the most of his mana. All those sneak monsters were quite deadly and Noa's rust removed my armor.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because of the duo ranged and melee monster. That shatter and double strike can hurt when combined with cripple.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 1 win and 5 losses. I didn't do so well but at least I didn't lose every single match. My rewards for the brawl were 4,000 merits and 63.173 SPS in the 4 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked in 6th or 7th place. The rank isn't the best but the rewards from 4 star brawls aren't so bad. If we get an average of 8 fights, then I got 3 free wins plus the one win that I had here. So that would mean that I got half wins and losses and that isn't so bad.

Conclusion

My performance was the same as usual. I didn't do so great as I lost most of my fights, but I do think that I got at least 2-4 free wins from guilds who didn't assign players. So with that, I think that I still did decent despite getting wrecked in most of these fights.
