Splinterlands Nineth Season of Glint, Merits and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. Modern hasn't been so bad but I just don't see myself going to Wild because of the cost of a Wild pass and I don't use up all my energy every single day.

Season Rewards

I made a separate post about the new reward cards in the Glint system here. I don't think there is a need to repeat that information but I will make sure to put it in this section starting next season. The rewards came out so I felt like using up my Glint then. So there isn't much to say this time around. I will note that the Glint costs in the shop have increased by 50% but we also earn more Glint now. So I think they were reducing the new supply from people burning older cards.

Gladius Packs

I have been able to collect 4 packs since the last time I opened packs. The brawls haven't gone so well after moving up to 4-star. However, I make do with what I get and I am also not doing random chests right now either.

I was able to upgrade my gold foil version of Betrol Gobson to level 4. This card has bloodlust and opportunity to start. Increasing its level gave it one more health. It didn't add too much to the card but that extra health could be quite helpful depending on the situation. I have a higher version of this as a common foil but this will help out in Brawls.

I received a new gold foil card Sarius. It only has bloodlust to start but having it will expand my options in brawls. My choice of gold foil cards is already quite low so this low mana card will be useful.

SPS

My SPS rewards were lower this time around. Both Brawls and ranked battles are lower, especially so in the brawls.

My pool reward for the season is 94.245 SPS and I guess there was a lot less than usual between the last report. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 220.759 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected and this came out a little bit later than usual. I stacked up the VOUCHERS again so I wonder if I should try a few Wild seasons until the VOUCHERS are used up or if I should just save them for a purchase later.

Conclusion

It's been tough to put in enough time and I am unable to use up all the normal energy recovered. I just do what I can so the Modern league is right for me. It does hurt to get less Glint but maybe when time is more free, I can move back to Wild for a season or two using the VOUCHERS that I stacked up.
