Splinterlands Sixteenth Season of Glint, Merits and SPS
The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. I am still going to be in modern but I don't really see myself moving over to Wild League at all given my lack of time and the cost of DEC. The new chests being added to the league advancement is good and I was able to collect some extra rewards. I am going with a strategy of purposely losing at the end of the season to get more chests rewards.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 17,126 Glint for last season, which is more than the previous season. Work has been keeping me busy, so I haven't been playing as often lately, but I was able to make some time near the end of the season. I should be trying to get more reward cards to strengthen my deck.
Above are my rewards from the league advancements. Just like last season, I am getting mainly common and rare cards along with some merits. Unfortunately, I didn't get any gold foil cards this time and there were also no epic or legendary cards.
It was one less than last season but I got some different cards. It's not exactly the best but I did get a new card that I did not have a copy of.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 7 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is lowerthan last time and my luck was decent this time. There were no gold foil cards but I did get 4 epic cards so I think it was a pretty decent opening this time around.
I was able to upgrade my Alredo to level 5. It has the bloodlust ability from the start. Increasing its level gave it the close range ability. This makes it more appealing to use and it has a low mana cost as well.
I was able to upgrade my Trapp Falloway to level 3. It has the bloodlust and weaken ability from the start. Increasing its level gave it one more melee attack. I don't use this card too often because it can only attack from the first spot. I do think it's a great card for only 4 mana cost though.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher this time because the brawls carried me. My ranked battles haven't been so great as I haven't played much this season so far. The brawls lately have been quite good for my guild so that SPS is stacking up.
My pool reward for the season is 96.211 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 214.462 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, but I was able to get more SPS compared to the season before. The new system where we get rewards for league advancements has motivated me to try to play a few games a day. I still think that my motivation towards of the end of the season is bad and this season has been rough lately. I haven't had as much time at night so my current season might not be better than this season.

I never go for chests since most of the time it's trash and no more jackpots, I do draws, done epics to get level 2 Olivia with mimic
The chests are from league advancements. I go for the card draws using my Glint.
I hope Splinterlands makes millions this bull run. That whole community deserves it.
I wouldn't mind it happening because I still play the game. The Splinterlands team still requires some more work to onboard/retain users. There have been a lot of people who quit the game because of the choices that the team has made. The new mode that they plan to release seems to be catered towards bots/helpers so I wonder if its the best choice.
I used to play but quit. I just sucked at it, and they did make some changes I didn't like so I sold all my cards and left.
You need to okay more games then, especially because you need to increase your Glint earning. It's the only way you'll get to own more soulbound cards actually. Congratulations for the season
Yea. I need to do more fights but it's hard to find the right time. I played for the first time this season but the earnings do add up. I already got over 10% of what I earned last season.
Quick one, I was asking if you know a decent guilt with an open slot, my current guild almost no one is active.
My guild leader quit and I am just still in my old guild. The officers are still there, but I just don't think they plan to add anyone though. I don't have any ideas about other guilds though.
Oh thanks a million, I thought as much, I'll keep looking
looks like you get much more for brawl than for playing ranked games, but this is option to build some sps
It's one of the best ways to earn SPS and merits. I think it might change if you were in a higher league, but I can't seem to find myself using up all my energy every single day. It's much easier to submit brawl fights for the guaranteed reward.
