Week 308 | My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry | Continuum Seer

Hey, I'm back! (I think 😆) I missed three weeks of the art contest due to life priorities and leisure. This month was so tight for me to sit down and make an entry. 😄 This entry was supposed to be posted for Week 305 but was just finished today.

For this week, I chose Continuum Seer. 🥳 Such a badass card, huh. 😁

Art Process

Like I said, this art was supposed to be posted earlier but due to things in life, I have to bit by bit finish. For me, it was hard to finish this art as I usually commit to art only for a few days. My brain always sees revision whenever I leave the art for a long time, I mean, three days is long for me already. I used a pencil brush for the line art instead of the solid brush, just for a change. It turned out good! I just need to adjust the pressure of the pen for me to control the ink.

Next, applying the base colors in different layers. I chose a hair color with an undertone of yellow, and for the eyes, the color green complements the purple clothing. I then started giving the soft rendering and details on the eyes and on the clothing.

Intensifying more the rendering by applying darker shades. I then gave the character the pink blush and those strands of hair. This is almost done less the background and backlight.

Final Art

I chose a magic circle image that can be downloaded from the asset store and then coloring it to green. I added those floating lights for extra detail. I then clipped a layer of multiply layer of purple for the shadow. Lastly, masking the canvas of a textured image and setting the opacity to 10 percent.
