Welcome to my entry post to Hive Open Mic Week 224.

In response to this week's theme "Summertime" I chose to perform the song 🎵 Walking On Sunshine By Katrina and the waves.

When I saw the theme, the first song that came to my mind was "Walking on Sunshine."
But the funny part is I never knew the song full lyrics and the song meaning.

I only know and enjoy singing the lyrics because it has this happy childhood vibe.

I even thought the song was children's song.
The first time I heard the song, it was sang by group of kids, rejoicing and dancing happily.
Then the song time was on a radio station, they play the song before starting an evening children's program.
So, you see why I thought it was a children's song.

Deciding to do the song, I went online to search for the song lyrics and I was a bit surprised by what I saw hahaha 😆

It was totally different from what I thought the song was all about.

The song "Walking on Sunshine" refers to the happiness she felt being in love and being convinced that her man loves her too.

But to me, the song has always meant happiness of the summer season.
The brightness, sunny, and warmness the season brings.
This brings rejoicing and appreciating the summer period.

And this song is a pop song.
So, this song will be mostly enjoyed during this season.
