Treatment Cost Way More Than Cure

It's been almost two weeks since I shared a blog or visited Hive but something got me back here.

I was going through my TikTok feed during a lunch break when I can across I TikTok video which is just a short clip of a comedy animation series called Family Guy.

It was a dialogue between a talking dog and a federal officer. The dog named Brian realized that the US government had discovered the holy grail of modern medicine and he cure to cancer. Literal cure to the disease but kept the secrets hidden from the public.

Brian in anger asked the officer, you have discovered this solution so why do you keep it hidden in this place?

The federal officer answered and said why give people the cure to cancer one time when we can put them on treatment for life and bill them every step of the way.

I'm not confirming this as evidence that this is the reality of our world but there's a High chance this has been going on in the world of medicine for a very long time.

It seems now that the health industry is prioritizing money over the health of people which is why mostly the rich have access to sophisticated drugs. Yes better drugs are harder to make and therefore would be more expensive but there are certain solutions the healthcare industry could have made available but to milk the people of more money, they choose not to make it available or accessible.

This is the real cancer of the world, we prioritizing money of people. If it is about their own family members, they would probably find solutions with modern medicine but that solution is kept away from the world so more money can be made.

It's similar to how electric cars can ruin the value of oil for many countries that generate revenue from it and thus they avoid encouraging it.

I'm not saying that the solution to all problems already exists but I'm certain some solutions already do and it's being kept away from us. I will share the link to that video at the bottom of the blog so you can go watch it yourself and learn from it

It's supposed to be a comedy animation series but the wisdom I got from it drove me to come back to Hive where I'm free to express these thoughts.

The system needs to change and I hope the right things get done. That's also the more reason to make more money for the sake of your life and the lives of your loved ones.
