Splinterlands| Upgrading Deck Again.

During the previous season, I played a more neutral-based ruleset than I had ever done before, and it was then that I realized I only had one melee card in my deck collection. This is poor, and I have easily lost games that I should have won. So I decided to check out two cards.

First and foremost, I do not want to buy any Chaos Legion cards again, unless they are still valuable; not that I can afford them, but look around; many assets are currently losing value on Splinterlands. The older generation cards are listed first, followed by CL cards (presumably due to tokenomics). Despite this, some cards, such as the Baakjira, the legendary water unit, continue to perform exceptionally well.

It is outrageous that you have to pay nearly $9 for level two. So I decided to buy the ULUNDIN OVERSEA, a neutral Rebellion card, which is a common card that costs $0.72 for one BCX. It is not cheap, to be honest, and I am curious why Rebellion cards are so expensive.

On the other hand, it is good that they are not losing too much value. The tokenomics is good as well. So I only got one BCX because that is all I could afford; I am hoping its resale value rises or, at the very least, does not fall with the rest of the asset market.

I got another one, this time a CL legendary card. I bought this not because it was CL, but because of its ability. It is about 0.8$, just a little more than the ULUNDIN, so about $4 and you will get level 2, but it is a necessity rather than a luxury, and I could only afford one BCX.

Here are the cards

Then I went shopping for one Earth card, the ENDLESS APE. I got this card for its ability as well, and I have lost to it a few times. It is just one melee earth card that can be used as a tank; I got it because it was part of a Rebellion set, so it will be useful in battle and will not lose much value.

I will keep adding gradually, and who knows, maybe there will be an opportunity to sell higher later.

I don't think I use those neutral cards much. At least I haven't really seen many people use the endless ape card. Maybe they did but I haven't really paid attention to that.

Rebellion cards are definitely expensive. I think it has to do with the pack price being expensive. It's the most expensive one so far.

I have seen a lot of people using the endless ape, I just took the advantage to get it, seeing that it's a Rebellion card type that might not lose much value. The way it is, buying older generation cards is no longer viable.

I'm not getting anything for the promo sale, simply because I cannot afford them.

Since the cards are losing value, is the game still somehow profitable?

Nice additions. Ulundin Overseer and the Endless Ape have been pretty impressive in battles. So much health to battle through.

I'm hoping to test them out soon. Have you tested out any Rebellion cards in battle?

I've tried the starter ones and they're definitely a lot more powerful than the alpha to chaos legion cards even for common ones. The abilities also give them an edge. I might pick up a few if there's a good discount.

Yeah, I think they're more powerful and I guess splinterlands INC wants more players buying these cards, so they just give them lots of abilities.

Ulundin is becoming important, I've been kicking around the idea of buying one too. Alvar is an important card as well, I pulled a gold foil one back near the start of Chaos and sold it anticipating prices would drop, and drop they did. I still haven't bought it back. Endless Ape may become a really tough card to beat at higher levels, I've not seen it in play much yet though.
