Introduction

Waka Spiritblade gives you a highadvantage at the very start. His low mana cost of 3 allows for greater flexibility, particularly in battles with limited and low mana cap battles. His signature Poison ability is very deadly inflicting a consistent 2 damage over round to your opponent's health.

Waka Spiritblade is special as it only has the maximum level across all stats. Waka starts at an impressive level 4. This makes him a valuable asset regardless of your current league standing, enabling you to fully utilize your monsters' levels.

Acquiring this one of a kind promotional card is a significant investment but can greatly enhance your overall performance in your Death Splinter battles.

Waka Spiritblade is a gem. You already get to max level for your monsters, only has 3 mana cost and gives your monsters the Poison ability among all things. He's one of the dealiest summoner in the entire game.

Pros

  1. Low Mana Cost. With a low mana cost of just three mana, you have greater flexibility to summon more powerful monsters even when you have a limited mana pool and playing in low mana cap battles.
  2. Poison ability is one of the strongest in the game. Poison has a direct impact on health, dealing damage each round without missing. This effect is as powerful as having a consistent +2 magic attack bonus every turn, making poison one of the strongest abilities in the game.
  3. Has maximum level across the board. Waka Spiritblade, a Legendary summoner with a level starting at 4, is so powerful that owning or renting him allows you to use all your monsters to their full potential, regardless of the league you're playing in. He is a must-have if you want to dominate in any league.

Cons

  1. Expensive to buy or rent.
As a Legendary promotional card, Waka Spiritblade's cost to use, whether bought or rented, is still relatively expensive due to his high level and rarity.
  2. Limited Good Monster Compatibility.
There are only a few Neutral and Death Splinter monsters with abilities that can be compatible with Waka Spiritblade, making them a valuable but rare find.
  3. Can easily be countered with a few abilities.
Some of the summoners and monsters that counter this card is no longer available in Modern Format, but your opponents can still use monsters with the Immunity ability, which makes them immune to all harmful effects, including the Poisoned status, or Cleanse ability, which removes the Poisoned status from their main tank. Cleanse only targets the monster in 1st position.

The Max Health of all monsters on the board will be equal to the Max Health of the monster with the highest max health: Since everyone has usually higher health in Equalizer rule of combat, your main battle is who has the most overall damage. Whoever has the higher overall damage per round wins. Poison helps with that by adding 2 damage per round to opponent monsters with poisoned status.

All non-Flying monsters on the board takes 2 melee damage at the start of every round: When you're in this rule of combat and your opponent tried to cheese it with armor and protect, well, they can't since poison directly affects health. If they aren't flying, then that's a huge 4 damage each round.

During this battle, all monster's abilities are disabled: Even with no monster abilities, the Poison damage can hurt a lot over time making you ahead in the damage game.

Zyriel's Weapons Training ability gives damage to passive monsters. This meant that the Poison ability given by Waka Spiritblade will be useful on passive monsters.

Life Sapper.png
Life Sapper
Life Sapper has low damage. However, that's fine because of Waka Spiritblade's Poison. The positive thing is that Life Sapper, while having Life Leech which is good for long games, poison acts the same way. The longer the game, the higher your accumulated damage will be to your opponent.

Silent Sha-Vi
Silent Sha-Vi, to me, is the king of Sneak. Not only he has Piercing ability for his high damage and Waka Spiritblade just makes that strong strategy even better.

My composition is very very simple with a main tank and a Sneak monster doing a pincer attack from both sides. Waka Spiritblade just adds on the damage technically reducing the opponent's Cursed Windeku's heal amount.

You can get an extra damage for a lower mana cost than usual. I think he's a no brainer if you can use him.

Cursed Windeku.png
Cursed Windeku

A strong decent mana tank. You normally either use Cursed Windeku or Harklaw as a tank for Death Splinter.

Really good Sneak monster with high damage and Piercing ability.

This was honestly a close battle as it ended with me only having Silent Sha-Vi at 1 health. Very surprising that my Silent Sha-Vi with 6 Speed missed his attacks to opponent's Carrion Shade with 2 speed for 4 rounds consecutively just because he has Flying ability. But in the end, my Silent Sha-Vi hits and I got the win.

Author's Note Banner.gif

In Splinterlands battles, Waka Spiritblade stands out as the strongest and most versatile Death Splinter summoner. His low mana cost and powerful Poison ability make him a valuable asset on the field. With a starting level of 4, he's effective in any league and allows players to unleash their monster's full potential.
Seasoned players will surely appreciate Waka Spiritblade's value demonstrating the amount of overall damage he can add to your team.
