Hello fellow Hivians!

First off, apologies everyone for being absent the past month. I had a close family member pass and I've been struggling to handle all of the tasks that come along with that and the loss itself. I'm just now starting to get my life back on track and part of that is becoming active on Hive once again.

For today's tidbit I wanted to talk about an interesting coin pump, DOGE. Now most of us at this point realize DOGE is still just a meme coin and are throwing basically just fun money at it. Well Elon Musk still seems to love it for some reason and is absolutely gunning to make it legit. Today it was announced that Musk has bought almost a 10% stake in Twitter and for some reason that has caused a correlated pump of around 10% in the USD value of DOGE. Will be interesting to see if Musk starts pushing for some sort of Twitter functionality that can be purchased with Doge or SINU or whatever.

Hive Is solid and never suffered much, same for HBD, but other cryptos like DEC and sps i dont think they Will raise, sps should be a governance token but now gives no governance, DEC Is Farmed like crap by Bots...

Yeah, DEC I don't see a bright future for unfortunately. That said, the fact that SPS is supposed to be something that it currently is not gives me hope for it. If SPS does indeed become useful its value could spike.

As always, BOTS are absolutely an issue...

I think Hive will get its time to shine again. Not so positive on the lot of secondary tokens. Too often I see no usecase. Then again that is no pro nor con in crypto :D

Appreciate it. Yes, many of the hive tokens serve no purpose other than to generate more tokens. That said, I think some have use cases being built out.

Sorry to read about your family member.

I gave away all my doge some years back. It was when I was new to crypto and had no clue how to get my hands on some Doge tokens. I was planning on purchasing one million DOGE but my only options were to purchase from ebay or from other scalpers that had crypto marked up too high vs. its then value. I proceeded to give away the Doge I managed to stack and never looked back.

Personally I think Hive will increase, it has a lot of uses and I think it works well for the games and blogs. There is a strong user base and it is easy to get into, as in a low cost of entry. Once into it you can find so many great people to help and learn, not to mention to grow your own alt coin collection. As it becomes more of a mainstream blockchain, I can see it continuing to grow on a use basis rather than a mining or hash rate basis that a lot of crypto is based on, as far as the general public thinks. So as Hive grows, the good alt coins will come with it.

Yes, Hive as a function has a TON of use case. I think if image hosting or the ability to create albums is mainstreamed then it has a chance to really go mainstream.

I think that hive will rebound as there hasn't been much change vs what it's traditionally been used for since the crash. the real question is will it grow at a higher rate do to new innovations that will bring wider popularity.

Most will continue to grow, because the whole cryptospace ia growing. But ofc some of the engine tokens will Not grow.

Condolences on your loss.

Yeah... Hive will bounce up and down along with BTC (as most other alts that have BTC as a trading pair on major exchanges)... but until we have some form of smart contract/second-layer option (other than Hive-Engine - which is fantastic as a stop-gap/interim BTW), I don't see HIVE really breaking away from the BTC ups and downs in lock-step
