Weekly Featured Contents [W126-E02][THE WRONG REASON]
Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 126, Edition 02 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week which is “THE WORST REASONS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “FROM THE HEART”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on the importance of the motives behind giving help and being charitable to others. We explored the reasoning behind helping people and publicizing it, and tried to figure out if it, in any way, downplayed the value of the help rendered.
We got to see different opinions on this issue. There are those who believe that rendering help should be from the heart and shouldn’t be broadcasted. However, there were those who believe that as long as the people who needed the help got it, then it was all good and fine!
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w126e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.
Featured Contents
LEAD WITH INTENTION, NOT EXPECTATION by @princessbusayo
This author told us that good deeds shouldn’t be done with the hope of getting something in return, that defeats the moral and religious significance of the act. In the end, it will make the person receiving the help unhappy with you, and even though they accept the help, it would bot be on a smiling face.
THE TRUE ESSENCE OF GIVING by @amberkashif
For this author, she told us that people who love to publicize the fact that they help others will never really be able to connect on a deep level with others. Also, their loved ones will be hesitant to receive favors from them for fear of seeing it all in the open. Such a lifestyle can’t be healthy for anyone at all.
CONSEQUENCES MATTER ONLY @intishar
For this author, he told us that in today’s world, just about everyone is selfish and when doing things, they care only about themselves and how their acts would affect them. Even when it seems like they’re doing it for others, there will always be some way they benefit from it. But then, it all comes down to each individual.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 Hive SBI each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.
But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:
Honorable Mention
SHOWING OFF OR EMBRACING THE FABULOUSNESS by @steemflow
CHARITY FOR SHOWING OFF by @gwajnberg
CHARITY AND INTENTIONS, DOES MOTIVE MATTER? by @nkemakonam89
These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional as well
AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!

Tell us about the worst reason you or someone you know had to let go of a person. It could a close friend, a romantic partner, or even a family member. Why did the person have to be let go?
