My Strategy Using Eternal Tofu

Hi guys! Welcome to another Splinterlands post from yours truly, Lolo Dens. In this post, I’ll be sharing a new strategy that some of you might already know, especially those who enjoy crafting strategies in Splinterlands.

Lately, I’ve been playing Splinterlands more often again. I just can’t leave this game behind because I genuinely enjoy playing it. By the way, I’ve been playing Splinterlands for more than two years now, and throughout those two years, I can confidently say I’ve had a great time with this game.

Unlike other online games that eventually become repetitive and boring, this one doesn't. Why? Because every battle here is unique: you face different players, each battle comes with different rulesets, and the elements allowed vary per match. So in every game, you need to think strategically about how to win.

Since I've mostly been playing in the Bronze league lately, and I already own many cards suited for Bronze battles, I don't rent cards often.

I have plenty of options because aside from the owned cards I bought from the market or earned from opening packs, my collection was boosted further by new cards from the Glint Shop.

Alright, my intro and hook are getting a bit long. What’s the strategy I’m talking about?

Strategy Using Eternal Tofu

The other day, I got curious and decided to rent the summoner Eternal Tofu. Turns out, this cat is highly effective in battles. Its mana consumption is a bit high, but I still use it often.

What’s great about this summoner is that it allows you to summon both earth and life elements at the same time.

My strategy when using this summoner is pretty straightforward.

  1. Tank Selection: I start by placing a tank with high health. My usual picks for the tank role are Mycelic Infantry or Drybone Barbarian.

  2. Healers: Next, I add three healers if both earth and life elements are available. If not, I’ll just use whatever healer cards I can, depending on the ruleset.

  3. Backline Support: I also include the Spirit Hoarder card because it has the Triage ability, which allows it to heal backline units.

  4. Taunt Cards: Finally, I add a card with the Taunt ability, such as Coeurl Lurker, Mycelic Slipspawn, or Iziar.

Once the lineup is set, the system will ask you which buffs you want to assign to your units. I usually choose Triage and Scavenger and assign them to the card with the Taunt ability.

The beauty of this summoner is that it provides a +2 health boost and the Thorns ability. So if your opponent has Sneak or Opportunity abilities, they’ll have a hard time dealing with your setup.

Since I have two units with the Triage ability, it becomes incredibly difficult for opponents to take down my Taunt card. Additionally, if any of my cards are defeated, the Scavenger ability boosts my Taunt card's health even more.
