Everyone loves bargain basement prices: Let's talk about Card Power

Welcome to Splinter-Chat with LordTimoty! This is a post about one of my favourite subjects; Splinterlands! I hope you'll get comfy, and take a few minutes with me to discuss a buying strategy - which is focused on card power. You see, in the past, I have purchased cards which are integral to building a winner team. I have really strong Water and Earth splinters which I use for both of my battles, but I want to get to Silver II without the burden of renting.

So let's get underway by having a closer look at card power. The graph below shows that each card has power, dependent on the category of card, whether Chaos Legion or Untamed or Beta, and the power is also dependent on whether the card is common, rare, epic or legendary. You'll also notice that Gold Foils have significantly more power than their ordinary counterparts.

So what's my next buying strategy? To buy power at a cost of 1 cent or less! You see, I'm currently at around 18000 power, and to reach Silver II, I need 40,000 power. My plan is to spend less than $220 to get to that next level. The reason is: at Silver II I will earn additional DEC for each of my wins, and I will be able to grab 3 x Daily Chests instead of 2. While the initial outlay will be significant, over time, the gains should balance out as I move closer towards Silver I.
I have previously rented to Silver I and I know that I can win the battles in that league with my current deck - so my advice, if you're playing and winning in Silver, it might be worth considering how to start maximizing your daily grind!

Let's take a look at some bargains on the market, current 09/01:
  1. Venari Bonesmith is currently selling for 14 cents. The card is worth 20 power each. I am planning on buying the card to level four to unlock the poison ability.
    (25 x 0.14 = $3.50)
  2. Uraeus is an epic sneak beast, I would like him at level 2 to do that extra bit of damage. He is worth 100 power and is currently available for 89 cents.
    (4 x 0.89 = $3.56)
  3. Pelacar Bandit is a regular in my water line up, and he is currently selling for 4 cents. I am planning on taking him to level 7, figuring I will be in Gold one day.
    (150 x 0.04 = $6.00)

In total, that's $12.56, however you'll get yourself 1650 power! In anyone's language, that's aN absolute bargain!

Until next time, thanks for joining me for a Splinter-Chat! Good luck rangling the rankings, battling the brawls and curating content.

Very interesting recommendations. I remember that I bought the Venari Bonesmith and the ones I own from Pelacor Bandit, I received them in the mission chests if I'm not mistaken. Although I am still very low in power (Bronze II), I am very clear that I must continue to invest and you clarify me a little more of the importance of this. Thanks for the post and greetings.
