VENARI SEEDSMITH Futurama Style

Hello to all art lovers! I'm lorentm, an enthusiastic digital artist, and today I want to share with you my exciting experience in the Splinterlands weekly art contest. Being an event that awakens my creativity and constantly challenges me, I'm always excited to participate once again in this amazing initiative.

This time, I decided to delve into the world of imagination and merge two iconic universes: Splinterlands and Futurama. I was inspired by the brilliant and eccentric professor Hubert J. Farnsworth to give life to my fan art of the character "Venari Seedsmith". For those who don't know him yet, Venari is a magical being, a sort of humanoid mouse who is dedicated to botanical science and conducts fascinating studies on plants.

I'm passionate about exploring new styles and challenging myself, so I decided to stray a bit from my usual Simpsons style and experiment with the Futurama aesthetic. It was an exciting challenge because, although both shows were created by the talented Matt Groening, they each have their own distinct visual identity.

I began my creation process by thoroughly researching Professor Farnsworth's facial features and personality. I wanted to capture that perfect blend of genius and eccentricity in Venari Seedsmith. I loved the way Professor Farnsworth is always immersed in his scientific experiments while at the same time displaying a lighthearted and fun attitude. I wanted to reflect that spirit in my interpretation of Venari.

Once I gathered enough information and inspiration, I dove into the world of digital pencils and graphic tablets to bring my work to life. I felt free and excited as I drew and colored Venari in Futurama's signature style. I wanted his appearance and facial expressions to convey that sense of wonder and passion for plants that defines him as a botanical scientist.

The creative process was fascinating and exhilarating. Every brushstroke and detail in the drawing became an expression of my own admiration for nature and the world of science.

Upon completion of my work, I felt satisfied and excited by the result. I firmly believe that art is a powerful form of expression and communication, and this experience allowed me to merge two distinct worlds to bring a unique character to life. Participating in the Splinterlands art contest has given me a platform to share my passion and connect with an incredibly creative community.

Now, I look forward to the results of the contest. No matter what the final outcome is, I am proud of the art I have created and the time and effort invested in this project. I will continue to explore new ideas and styles, keeping my passion for digital art alive.

Farnsworth para darle vida a mi fan art del personaje "Venari Seedsmith". Para aquellos que aún no lo conocen, Venari es un ser mágico, una suerte de ratón humanoid que se dedica a la ciencia botánica y lleva a cabo estudios fascinantes sobre las plantas.

Me apasiona la idea de explorar nuevos estilos y desafiarme a mí misma, por lo que decidí alejarme un poco de mi estilo habitual en Los Simpsons y experimentar con la estética de Futurama. Fue un desafío emocionante porque, aunque ambos programas fueron creados por el talentoso Matt Groening, cada uno tiene su propia identidad visual distintiva.

Comencé mi proceso de creación investigando minuciosamente los rasgos faciales y la personalidad del profesor Farnsworth. Quería capturar esa mezcla perfecta de genialidad y excentricidad en Venari Seedsmith. Me encantó la forma en que el profesor Farnsworth siempre está inmerso en sus experimentos científicos y, al mismo tiempo, muestra una actitud desenfadada y divertida. Quería reflejar ese espíritu en mi interpretación de Venari.

Una vez que reuní suficiente información e inspiración, me sumergí en el mundo de los lápices digitales y las tabletas gráficas para dar vida a mi obra. Me sentí libre y emocionada mientras dibujaba y coloreaba a Venari en el estilo característico de Futurama. Quería que su aspecto y expresiones faciales transmitieran ese sentido de asombro y pasión por las plantas que lo define como científico botánico.

El proceso creativo fue fascinante y estimulante. Cada pincelada y detalle en el dibujo se convirtió en una expresión de mi propia admiración por la naturaleza y el mundo de la ciencia.

Al finalizar mi obra, me sentí satisfecha y emocionada por el resultado. Creo firmemente que el arte es una forma poderosa de expresión y comunicación, y esta experiencia me permitió fusionar dos mundos distintos para dar vida a un personaje único. Participar en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands me ha brindado una plataforma para compartir mi pasión y conectar con una comunidad increíblemente creativa.

These races use the Planet’s natural internal power to live luxurious lives safely within the Planet’s cocoon, and few among them are even aware of life on the Planet’s surface.

Process / Proceso

Before I started drawing, I immersed myself in the world of Futurama and studied the character of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth. I observed his facial features, style of dress and eccentric personality to capture his essence in my reinterpretation of Venari Seedsmith.

I started with quick, loose sketches to explore different poses and facial expressions for Venari. I wanted to find the right composition and attitude to convey the character's mix of cool and eccentricity.

I started by tracing the main contour lines of the character. I made sure to capture the facial details, such as the shape of the eyes, nose and mouth, to achieve Venari's distinctive look inspired by Professor Farnsworth.

After establishing the contour lines, I worked on additional details, such as the ears, nose and mouth and Venari's specific features, such as his scientific attire, magnifying glasses and injector. In addition, I focused on capturing the right facial expressions to convey his passion for plants and his scientific curiosity.

Once the drawing was ready, I started adding color. I used a palette inspired by Venari's aesthetic, with vibrant, saturated colors. I outlined each section of the drawing with flat colors and then added shadows and highlights to give it volume and depth.

I added additional details, such as glows and lighting effects, to give the drawing more realism and life. I also experimented with special effects to highlight certain elements, such as some plants and lab elements surrounding Venari.

Once I was satisfied with the drawing and the colors, I did a final revision to make sure everything was in place. I made minor adjustments if necessary and made sure the overall composition was harmonious.

And there you have it, that was the process of creating my digital drawing inspired by the character "Venari Seedsmith" from Splinterlands, fused with the aesthetics of Futurama. It was an exciting and challenging process that allowed me to explore different styles and techniques - I hope you enjoyed the result as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Antes de comenzar a dibujar, me sumergí en el mundo de Futurama y estudié detenidamente el personaje del profesor Hubert J. Farnsworth. Observé sus rasgos faciales, su estilo de vestimenta y su personalidad excéntrica para capturar su esencia en mi reinterpretación de Venari Seedsmith.

Comencé con bocetos rápidos y sueltos para explorar diferentes poses y expresiones faciales para Venari. Quería encontrar la composición y la actitud adecuadas para transmitir la mezcla de genialidad y excentricidad del personaje.
