Why It Was a Foolish Decision to Stay in the Liquidity Pool DEC:SPS
On March 8th, I had a total value of $7,484.06 in the DEC:SPS liquidity pool on the Hive-Engine, the second layer of Hive. As of today, July 10th, it has decreased to only $2,566.83. This represents a significant loss of $4,917.23. In hindsight, it was a mistake to keep liquidity in this pool. Here is a calculation of my losses over this period:
Initial value on March 8th: $7,484.06
Final value on July 10th: $2,566.83
Loss: $7,484.06 - $2,566.83 = $4,917.23
In hindsight, it was a foolish decision to keep liquidity in the DEC:SPS pool on the Hive-Engine. A better understanding of the risks and a more appropriate risk diversification strategy might have led to a different decision. For future investments, it is advisable to carefully consider market conditions, the risk of impermanent loss, and diversification strategies.
Yeah, I fomoed hard into pools as well back then. Not this one but I too lost more money than I made overall...
It's just as it is... expected because no new players coming to splinterlands and the game itself makes no more fun and earnings turning soooo bad...
Yeah I heard Splinterlands is losing players left and right. I am selling my dcity stuff, they keep changing the rules and I dont have time to restructure and look up all the new ways to earn. You are playing Rise of Pixels too, right? I think thats a pretty decent game, but I kind of feel uninspired to play these last days...
Anyways I have a maximum of 100$ per game invested. Losing 5 grand because of a video game must feel a lot rougher..
yea, already a bunch of our playerbase in the legendary dragons family already left the sinking ship and sold all their stuff... it's just pain to see value goes down and down day by day at those high significant numbers... dcity i think i already sold everything longtime ago. Rise of the Pixels i have a account, did some stuff at the beginning but not findind the fun and usecase there -.-" so i dont invest there.
I actually am having more fun battling now with the new strategy from Rebellion than I have in the past 2 years. Still getting used to the Glint Shop, but I think that is a step in the right direction for the company and the game. Looking forward to the release of the SPS node software and the further decentralization of the game for the future.
I never understood liquidity Pools, does someone ever made profit with it?
I'm sorry to hear it mate. All the SPL tokens are down in general, so it's not just this LP. I have faith DEC will make its way back up to peg in the next 6-9 months or so.
