Aún no me siento preparada para hablarles del final de Trono de Cristal - Sarah J. Mass, así que recuerdo que no había reseñado la precuela de esta saga, la cual nos regresa a cuando nuestra protagonista era Celeana Sardothien. Este libro narra la vida de Celaena antes de su apresión en las minas de sal de Endovier, cuando ella era la mejor asesina de Adarlan, protegida del rey de los asesinos Arrobyn Hamel, teniendo ella aproximadamente 16 años. Está ambientado en 5 novelas, o 5 partes, contando historias distintas que ayudaron a forjar el caracter que ella nos muestra luego de su liberación en el primer libro. Les cuento qué tal me parecieron estos relatos.

I still don't feel ready to tell you about the end of Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Mass, so I remember that I hadn't reviewed the prequel of this saga, which takes us back to when our protagonist was Celeana Sardothien. This book narrates the life of Celaena before her imprisonment in the salt mines of Endovier, when she was the best assassin of Adarlan, protégé of the king of the assassins Arrobyn Hamel, when she was about 16 years old. It is set in 5 novellas, or 5 parts, telling different stories that helped forge the character she shows us after her release in the first book. Let me tell you what I thought of these stories.

Uno de los acontecimientos más impactantes de "Imperio de Tormentas" es cuando Aelin/Celaena viaja hasta Bahía de la Calavera, a hacerle un trato al señor de los piratas, pero Rolfe realmente la odia. En este relato nos muestran cómo Celaena Sardothien junto con Sam Cortland viajan a hacer un trato, pero se encuentran con barcos llenos de esclavos, así que aunque los dos se odiaban, juntan sus fuerzas para destruir media ciudad y liberarlos, saliendo triunfantes. Al regresar a Rifthold, Arrobyn no estaba muy contento, así que después de una paliza envía lejos a Celaena. En su viaje, ella se encuentra con una sanadora, de nombre Yrene Towers, a quien ayuda a defenderse de unos ladrones, enseñándole cómo pelear y también dejándole una enseñanza para que siga sus sueños.

One of the most shocking events in "Empire of Storms" is when Aelin/Celaena travels to Skull Bay, to make a deal with the pirate lord, but Rolfe really hates her. In this story we are shown how Celaena Sardothien along with Sam Cortland travel to make a deal, but they encounter ships full of slaves, so even though the two hated each other, they join forces to destroy half the city and free them, emerging triumphant. Upon returning to Rifthold, Arrobyn was not very happy, so after a beating he sends Celaena away. On her journey, she meets a healer, named Yrene Towers, whom she helps to defend herself from thieves, teaching her how to fight and also leaving her a lesson to follow her dreams.

El destino del viaje de Celaena era llegar hasta el desierto rojo, territorio de los asesinos silenciosos, para que el maestro la entrenara y, según Arrobyn, aprendiera a seguir órdenes y que no volviera a suceder lo de Bahía de la Calavera. En esta novela nos presentan a Ansel de Briarcliff, quien se volvería amiga de Caelaena y con la que pasaria muchas cosas. Aunque el final de este relato pega un poco en el corazón, es lindo de leer y al culminar la saga todo sale bien. Ya de regreso en Rifthold, vemos cómo la relación de Celaena con Sam va mejorando, siendo amigos y cumpliendo una misión dentro de la ciudad. Ya para el "final" Celaena paga la deuda de ambos, para ser libres del control de Arrobyn.

The destination of Celaena's journey was to reach the red desert, the territory of the silent assassins, so that the master could train her and, according to Arrobyn, she could learn to follow orders so that the events of Skull Bay would not happen again. In this novel we are introduced to Ansel of Briarcliff, who would become Caelaena's friend and with whom many things would happen. Although the ending of this story hits a little in the heart, it is nice to read and at the end of the saga everything turns out well. Back in Rifthold, we see how Celaena's relationship with Sam is improving, becoming friends and fulfilling a mission within the city. By the "end" Celaena pays off their debt, to be free from Arrobyn's control.

Y ahora, el final donde todos lloramos. Luego de pagar la deuda y mudarse con Sam, vemos cómo la pareja intenta sobrevivir, acostumbrarse a una vida más decadente luego de estar en los lujos del complejo de asesinos y también intentando salir de gremio para ser realmente libres. Pero, las cosas no salen perfectas, ya que Sam acepta el trabajo donde lo matan, lo cual no es spoilers, ya que desde el primer momento de Trono de Cristal sabemos que Sam estaba muerto. Pero, leerlo es bien triste. Ver cómo Celaena lo esperaba en casa, cómo pasaban las horas, cómo es Arrobyn quien le dice la noticia, ya que llevaron su cuerpo a la mansión de asesinos, luego cuando ella lo ve en persona. Y luego decide vengarse, para simplemente quedar atrapada, entregada al rey, enviada a las minas de sal, es triste. Ver las palabras de amor, como decían que tenían todo el tiempo del mundo, la típica frase de Aelin/Celaena de la de Sam "Mi nombre es Sam Cortland y no tengo miedo". Realmente es un final que te deja un poco deprimida. Todo lo que Celaena pasó antes de Endovier, ni siquiera se compara con lo que sufriría después y wow, Sarah J. Mass realmente es una increíble escritora porque nos regaló una de las mejores sagas de fantasías de la vida. Espero que les haya encantado esta reseña, nos leemos pronto para el final de la saga!

And now, the ending where we all cry. After paying the debt and moving in with Sam, we see how the couple tries to survive, getting used to a more decadent life after being in the luxuries of the assassin's compound and also trying to get out of the guild to be truly free. But, things don't go perfectly, as Sam takes the job where he gets killed, which is not spoilers, as from the first moment of Throne of Glass we know Sam was dead. But, reading it is well sad. To see how Celaena was waiting for him at home, how the hours passed, how it is Arrobyn who tells her the news, as they took his body to the assassins mansion, then when she sees him in person. And then she decides to take revenge, to simply be trapped, delivered to the king, sent to the salt mines, it's sad. Seeing the words of love, how they said they had all the time in the world, the typical Aelin/Celaena line from Sam's "My name is Sam Cortland and I am not afraid". It really is an ending that leaves you a bit depressed. Everything Celaena went through before Endovier, doesn't even compare to what she would go through afterwards and wow, Sarah J. Mass really is an amazing writer because she gave us one of the best fantasy sagas ever. I hope you loved this review, see you soon for the end of the saga!
