Battle Challenge: DRAGONS! Defeating Yodin Zaku
My Weekly Battle Challenge: DRAGONS!
This is my first ever weekly battle challenge! I am so excited to share this battle. The Dragon splinter is my absolute favorite splinter. I feel that Dragon cards are so powerful, and so much fun to use!
My Lineup:
In this battle, I was up against the formidable Yodin Zaku. I have found that the key to beating him is Speed, so in this case, I used Byzantine Kitty. I also used Djinn Chwala, who is my very favorite card out of the new reward cards. She is super powerful with Thorns and Enrage! I also have Twilight Basilisk in there, which has Stun and is a really great second line monster. Diamond Dragon, another powerful card, is in the middle of my lineup along with Djinn Oshannus. Naga Assassin, with that sweet, sweet Backfire ability, brings up the rear.
The Enemy:
The opposing lineup was downright dangerous, with Spark Pixies, Fire Deamon, Pyromaniac, Mantis and Ettin Spearman all getting their Range attack increased by Yodin. Cerberus, which self-heals, was used as the tank. To top it all off, Yodin gives everyone Blast!
My Strategy:
My goal was to be as fast as possible, taking out as much of their damage dealers as possible. I was able to take out Spark Pixies before it was even able to land an attack. Having fast monsters also helped because they could dodge attacks, and my monsters were able to dodge several times. The Backfire ability on Naga Assassin did not get triggered on this battle, but when it does get triggered, it is powerful! Because she is so fast, she is easy to miss, which gives 2 damage to the monster who tried to attack her. Having Thorns on Djinn Chwala was really helpful in getting rid of Cerberus before he could do much damage. The magic attacks from Djinn Oshannus and Diamond Dragon were quite lethal to the opposing team.

I hope that you all enjoyed this battle! Its always satisfying to watch Yodin burn, isn't it?
Classic - speed is the way to beat Yodin, and the Kitty does that very well!
