To begin, I use the vertical symmetry tool and draw the main sketch of what the magician will be. The idea is to do everything as in a frame.

I make the hat and some black spikes that come out like flames from the magician's body or tunic, which will create the effect I'm looking for.

Later you will see how they take shape and give body to the image.

Para comenzar uso la herramienta de simetría vertical y trazo el boceto principal de lo que sera el mago. La idea es hacerlo todo como en un marco.

Hago el sombrero y unos picos negros que salen como llamas del cuerpo o túnica del mago, que crearan el efecto que busco.

Mas adelante verán como toman forma y le dan cuerpo a la imagen.

I fill the creature with black, leaving some spaces to place the details that will be shadows or lights of the creature.

The halo around his head is ready too, and the dark flames at the bottom take shape.

Relleno la criatura de color negro dejando algunos espacios para colocar los detalles que serán sombras o luces de la criatura.

Ya esta listo el halo alrededor de su cabeza también, y las llamas oscuras en la parte inferior toman forma.

I make the frame of the drawing and add some grays, in addition to correcting some other details.

For the lower part of the frame I only duplicate the upper part, invert and paste, this way everything is correct and symmetrical.

Hago el marco del dibujo y añado algunos grises, ademas de corregir algunos otros detalles.

Para la parte inferior del marco solo duplico la parte superior, invierto y pego, de esta manera queda correcto y simétrico todo.

I add the background with some gray effects in the flames and in the frame to give it volume and depth.

Finally, after trying different background colors, I choose a gradient in Bayer Mayer 4x4 and from white to blue to achieve the desired effect.

I adjust the size of the canvas and as a final part I add my logo and signature.

Añado el fondo con algunos efectos de grises en las llamas y en el marco para darle volumen y profundidad.

Por ultimo luego de probar distintos colores de fondo, escojo un degradado en bayer mayer 4x4 y desde un blanco a un azul para lograr el efecto deseado.

Ajusto el tamaño del canvas y como parte final agrego mi logo y firma.

This art presented me with the challenge of making the flames symmetrical and also the corners of the frame. I had a hard time figuring out how to create the effect I was looking for for the black flames.
