COASTAL SENTRY - this soulbound reward card is the new king!

What’s up my fellow warriors!

I hope you all are spending an awesome day with your loved ones and also enjoying this amazing strategy game in your meantime. As usual, the case is same for me and currently I am playing at Diamond I league and trying to secure a place in the top leaderboard while also keeping an eye on the tournaments and brawls. Just last day, the official team has again listed some cool new tournaments and I enrolled myself in some of those already, especially the regular foil diamond and gold level tourneys. Nowadays I am trying to play both modern and wild format tourneys but thou I anyhow secure at least a little prize in modern tourneys, for wild ones my performance is pathetic and I got to admit without having those old wild cards, it is almost impossible to actually play in wild tournaments and actually win something just using the modern edition cards. But still, I try to play the wild ones with low SPS entry fee so that even if I lose, I don't lose something big that gives me tension at night.

However, as I am a daily player and guess most of you reading are also playing on daily basis, then of course you have also collected at least some of those soul bound reward card into your playing account by now. I really gotta say that some of these soul bound reward cards are really helpful in battles and even when all my soul bound cards are yet to reach max level, because of their usefulness and certain abilities, I have started using some of these low level soul bound cards already and getting positive results. Today in my post, I will be showcasing one of them soul bound cards that I really like to use in battles nowadays and as you have guessed it already from the thumbnail, today I will be talking about the COASTAL SENTRY monster.

COASTAL SENTRY

COASTAL SENTRY is a common type monster card ghat belongs to the water splinter and this cards got introduced in splinterlands with the launch of latest edition reward card-set. This monster takes a 10 mana cost to be used in battles and it’s attack type is melee. Let us now take further inspection upon this card and find out it’s stays and abilities tier wise.

• Bronze - At level 3, this card possesses 3 melee attack at 4 speed with 2 armour and 6 health and it also carries the Double Strike ability that it acquires at it’s initial level. This Double Strike ability is it’s best feature to showcase because along with a high powered melee attack, the double strike ability deals devastating damage to enemy monsters. If you are finding it hard to kill big monsters with force field ability, this double strike monster can be your one stop solution.

• Silver - At level 6, this monster gets 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 2 armour and 7 health and it also gets another ability - Piercing. With the piercing ability, if it attacks and breaks the shield of an enemy, the excess damage will affect the monster’s health at that round. So now, shielded monsters doesn’t hold any fear against this monster anymore.

• Gold - This monster gets 4 melee attack at 5 speed with 3 armour and 7 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above when it gets upgraded to the Gold tier. Thou this monster doesn't get any new abilities, it’s stats gets more pumped up and will certainly help you kill enemy monster at faster rate while carrying More defence stat at the same time.

• Diamond / Champ - At max level, this monster gets 5 melee attack at 5 speed with 3 armour and 7 health and also gets another new ability Knock Out. With this new ability, it will now deal double damage to the enemy monsters that are in stunned state. So, using this monster with Stun cards can bring you way better results without a doubt.

Now, let me share a match where I used the COASTAL SENTRY in a match and scored an awesome win against a tough opponent. It was a 52 mana limit match with one ruleset - Armoured Up where every monster in the battle will get +2 armour. Only 3 splinters were allowed in this battle - water, Earth and Death. My strategy here is to use the Possibilus the Wise legendary summoner and use the Sentry at the second position of my lineup so that it gets both the Reach and Trample ability.

As the battle got revealed, I find out that my opponent also chose a water summoner Kelya Frendul and some heavy water monsters against me. However, as the battle started, the Sentry started using it’s double strike attack upon the Baakjira and with the help of it, I killed the Baajkira at the beginning of second round. Not only that, he also helped me by damaging the Kulu Mastermind at the beginning of 3rd round and finally when it got dead at the begin of round 4, I had already killed 2 of the opponents largest tank monsters and later I easily won the match with my rest monsters.
