Imp Bowman - is this old reward card still worth it ?

I hope all of you are doing great in tour life and also playing and enjoying this fabulous game on a daily basis. The time seems to be running faster as we have already reached the middle of this current season ongoing and I guess every one of you are playing your daily focus missions and also collecting points for a bigger number of season loot chests. Thanks to the new reward system which is by far rewarding dedicated players so much more than before while limiting bot accs to farm rewards like before. So, overall, the splinter grounds are favouring the warriors way more now and all you have to do is play and win 🏆

Now, taking a look at the current crypto market, after a week of bull run, it seems that the market is slowly going back to it’s starting point. This week, we have acknowledged huge pump in ETH and BTC which helped many other alt coins to rise as well. The main dominator BTC is currently being traded for 20,972$ with a -4.09% change in price within last 24 hours where the other giant ETH is being sold for 1,502$ per unit with a +8.6% price change within last day.

Our hive however is performing exceptionally well even when majority of crypto is going down. With a recent jaw dropping pump, our dear hive token even crossed 0.6$ price mark for a time, but now it is dipping back and now selling for 0.503$ per unit with a -7.83% price decrease within last 24 hours. The price of HBD also jumped insanely high and got being traded even for 2.5$ a unit for time, but it is back to it’s pegged value of 0.963$ as it is trading right now.

Now, let's take a quick peak at the splinterlands token market to see how it's performing right now. The main in-game token DEC is still being sold for a fair 0.00052$ price per unit with a +2.34% growth in price within last day. On the other hand, the Governance token of splinterlands, SPS aka Splintershards is also being sold for cheap 0.055$ per unit with a +7.19% rise in price over that last 24 hour span and I hope this uptrend continuous for now.

IMP BOWMAN

Now, let me take a u-turn from the marketplace and jump into my main theme of today’s post as I have another awesome old reward card to showcase. As you have already from the thumbnail, today I will talk about IMP BOWMAN, a pretty old epic reward card from fire unit which still maintaining it’s sweet reputation, mainly in lower mana limit matches thanks to it’s 2 mana cost.

It’s an Epic Fire unit monster this monster belongs to reward edition. This monster needs only to mana to join any battle. It’s a ranged monster who has one range power, three speed and one health along with flying ability. This monster needs only 46 epic cards to reach the maximum level.

BRONZE

On the level 2 this monster increases it’s health from 1 to 2 along with 1 ranged attack at 3 speed along with the flying ability which it gets from it's initial level.

SILVER

After it gets upgraded to the level 3, this monster increases it’s ranged power from 1 to 2 with speed 4 and with 2 health along with the flying ability.

GOLD

This monster needs 23 epic cards to reach the fifth level. This monster equips a new ability of piercing from level 4 and at level 5, it gets 2 ranged attack at 5 speed with 3 health along with those 2 abilites.

DIAMOND/CHAMP

After upgraded to the maximum level, this monster increased it’s health from 3 to 4 with 5 speed and 2 ranged power along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above.

IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT IMP BOWMAN

• First of all, It’s low 2 mana cost really helps to make a good lineup in those lower mana limit matches. It is also usable in little league ruleset matches for the same reason.

• The Piercing ability is one of the key points of this awesome monster. with this ability, if Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target’s Armour, the remainder will damage the target’s Health.

• This monster's high speed will surely help to launch the first strike compare to other monsters in battlefield.

• Lastly, it's flying ability will ensure to evade some of the attacks from non flyer enemy cards.

It’s a high price ranged monsters compare to others and its current price is around $3.92/bcx. On the other side the gold card price is around $200 for level 2 and the full pack is around $1089.38.

MAGNOR

I placed this heavy duty Melee Defensive monster on the very first position and it needs 10 mana to join any battle. It has 6 melee attack at 3 speed with 15 health along with 4 abilities TAUNT, Enrage, Trample and Return Fire.

CORNALUS

On the second position, I placed another defensive ranged monster which has 4 abilities with 4 Ranged attack at 3 speed and 12 health.

FLAME IMP

On the third position, I placed magic monster which needs 3 mana to join any battle and has 5 speed and 4 health and 2 Magic power along with 2 abilities.

GOBLIN FIREBALLER

On the 4th position I placed ranged attacker monster and this monster has 2 ranged,4 speed and 4 health Along with Snare and Stun ability.

IMP BOWMAN

On the Fifth position I placed my main Monster Imp Bowman. I have already discussed abouyt this monster above so let's move forward.

SPARK PIXIES

On the last position I placed my best ranged monster which has flying,Stun and dodge ability along with 7 speed,3 ranged , 3 health.

BATTLE BEGINS

ROUND 1

On the first round after got the abilities and disabilities enemy monster Naga Assassin damaged my Defensive monster and also got damaged from return fire. After that enemy monster Supply Runner Damaged towards my Defensive monster and also got damaged from return fire. After that enemy monster Dragon Jumper damaged my monster. Then, my Spark pixies damaged enemy Supply Runner and Chromatic Dragon. After that my Flame monster damaged enemy monster Chromatic and Dragon Jumper. After my main Monster IMP BOWMAN Damaged enemy front monster. But, my defence monster missed it's hit. The enemy monster destroyed by my Goblin and Jumper got damaged from blast effect. Lastly, the Cornealus destroyed the enemy Jumper and the round ended here.

ROUND 2

On the second round after got again all the disabilities and abilities enemy Naga Assassin destroyed my front defensive monster. Then, Enemy monster supply got damaged from return fire after hit towards my Cornealus. My Spark pixies damaged enemy front dragon monster and destroyed the Supply Runner monster with just blast effect. After that my Magic monster damaged enemy gold dragon 🐉 and destroyed Furious chicken with blast effect but also got damaged from return fire. Next, my main Monster IMP Bowman destroyed enemy Gold dragon and also damaged enemy last monster Naga Assassin. Lastly, Goblin destroyed the last monster of the enemy team.

I hope you watched the full match above and witnessed the charismatic performance of the mighty IMP BOWMAN! Yes, this little flyer with it’s piercing ability really helped me a lot to win this match. No doubt this is a pretty old reward card and thus selling at a good price but looking at it’s overall stat and performance, no doubt it’s still a very important card to have in hand, especially if you are playing the wild ranked format!
