Splinterlands | 4 new Abilities from new reward cardset

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your loved ones and also playing the game in your free time to climb up to your goals. If you are a regular player and grind well in the ranked section, then right now you must be using your strength to increase your trophy rating, because the more it comes closer to the end, the more competitive it will be. Right now, we still have 10 days and 20 hours of time before the season clock gets reset, so let us fight our way upward and climb those tiers one by one to reach our goal.

Now if you were active on Hive, you must have heard of the latest news of splinterlands as it is spreading like wildfire! Yes, finally they are about to drop their latest reward edition cards soon! There will be a full set of cards that we can buy with our Glint rewards and it is only a matter of time before the battle gameplay is getting a complete hard change. So, I guess now we have to stop spending our Glint coins in the reward shop and start saving for the big buy! The cards are announced to be released on Thursday, 15th August and just like you all, I am also excited to see them on the battlefield. Meanwhile, please keep in mind that the current Chaos Legion edition reward cards that are available in the reward shop right now will be stopped before 15th Aug so if you are a new player and lack them, now would be a good time to buy them from reward shop. On the other hand, after the new update, we can unbind our Chaos Legion reward cards. It will require Dec to do so and after unbinding, you can sell or rent them or use them On land.

Moving on, let us now take a look at the leaked stats about the upcoming Rebellion edition reward cards and first intel That I See is about the total count of different types of cards in this reward edition. As stated, There will be 12 common cards, 12 rate cards, 7 epic cards and 12 legendary cards. The expansion of this edition card is the same as Chaos Legion reward cards to bring a better balance by adding a bunch of these new cards into the game. Now apart from that, we can see there are 4 new abilities that will be introduced in the game with this upcoming edition Reward card set and along with their imgaes, they have also released the full use of these abilities as mentioned below.

MIMIC

Having this ability, the card can gain any random ability from the enemy team at the beginning of round 2 and each following round and also has a 25% chance to gain a random ability of an attacker when hit. So we will be getting a completely new kind of ability stealers named mimics and I really like this new ability. Anyway, The dispel Ability if hit will remove 1 mimicked ability and the first one you got will hey removed first and so on. There will be some abilities that cant be mimicked denoted as - Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapon Training, Flank, Reach, Charge and Taunt. So they removed some good abilities for sure in the list above but they have left many for us if you look well.

CORRUPTED HEALING

The next new Ability that will shake the battlefield in the upcoming days is Corrupted Healing. If applied, this ability will restore 1/3 of the max health every round to allied units and the result will be rounded down. Each time a unit is healed, its max health will however reduced by 1. So it is a tricky ability and I am interested in knowing what the cards containing this ability will actually do.

EXECUTE

The next Ability is quite serious in look as shown in the flaming Sword in its image. Meet this new ability named Execute which if the target is possessing 2 or less health and it does a successful attack, it performs another attack against the same unit. So basically, we are about to get a new form of Trample where that gets super charged when targeting the low Health monsters.

WINGBREAK

Last but not least, we have another and visually stunning looking new ability which is about to get introducing in the battlefields soon named Wingbreak. This new ability will always target and attack the enemy units with flying first regardless of abilities or rulesets. Not only that, but it will also do a +2 damage if the target has Flying ability. So this ability will be a pure anti-Flying ability and will be super usable in matches with earthquake ruleset etc.

I hope all of you loved knowing about all these new abilities which will be introduced with the soon upcoming Reward cardset. There will be also another set of completely new kind of the abilities added as well which I will be talking about in my next post.
