What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying an amazing day with your friends and family. Well guys, Another fresh new ranked season has started in splinterlands and if you play this regularly, I guess by now you have already claimed your Glint rewards from the last season and started playing for this one. The season still has around 12 days left to meet its end but we know how fast time flies in this mystical realm, so let us all focus on our playing and start progressing towards our goals slowly while earning SPS and Glint points. For me, last season I somehow made my way into the Champion League but sadly, I lost my position and came down to Diamond I again while Playing during the last hours, so after the season my trophy rating again got reset down to Diamond III. So this season, I will again try with my best effort for the same goal while being more cautious during the last days. Let’s see how it goes this time and see if I can manage to climb up and secure my position in the Champion League.

Now moving on, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another newly launched amazing Reward monster with you all and as you can already see in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about DEATH RANGER. So without anymore further ado, let us jump right in.

Death Ranger

DEATH RANGER is a monster type card that was released in the game just recently with the latest edition card set. This is a reward type card so you can buy this card in a reward shop using your in-hame token called Glint, but not by using money directly. It is a Legendary type card so it needs a total of 11 BCX of cards to upgrade this monster to max level. Thus monster belongs to the Death element and its attack type is Ranged. This card costs 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup while playing small to medium mana limit matches or in the Little League ruleset. Let us now take a further look at its league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card possesses 1 ranged attack at 3 speed with 6 armour and 4 health and it also gets the Void Armour ability since its beginning. With the help of this ability, now Magic Monster will hit this card’s armour before going for its health.

SILVER

At level 2, this card this card gets the same 1 ranged attack at 3 speed but with an increased 7 armour and 4 health and it also gets the Close Range ability at this level. With this new ability, now it can attack from the first position as well.

GOLD

As this card reaches level 3, it gets 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 7 armour and 4 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. With the increased attack power, now this monster can bring more damage to enemy cards.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level 4, it receives 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 7 armour and 4 health and it also gets a new ability at its max level called Scavenger. With the help of this ability, every time a card dies on that battle, it will gain +1 max health.

BATTLE STAT

BATTLE STAT

This time I got an interesting small 24 mana limit match where every element except Earth was available to choose and there were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - No Neutral, Healed Out and Thorns. After thinking for some time I finally came up with a strategy and started building my lineup accordingly. For this match, I chose the Legendary Dragon summoner Quix the Devious and at the front defence position, I chose the 2 mana melee monster Wolf followed by Death Ranger, Queen of Crows, Fiend, Naga Assassin and Soul Strangler at the end position of my lineup. When both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Legendary Life summoner Grandmaster Rather and at his front position, He chose the Pelacor Conjerur followed by Aves Sturgis and Venari Crystalsmith at his end position.

As the match started, though my Wolf died at the beginning, my Death Ranger then quickly took the front defence and to my surprise, he really defended the front line well thanks to his Void armour ability with a good combo of armour and health. As the opponent used mostly magic monsters against me, he really defended all these magic attacks for a long time because the magic attacks were hitting his armour first and then went for its health. But the time the enemy monsters would kill down my Death Ranger and target my other monsters, my backline monsters did a tremendous job ans killed down all of them one by one and thus, I won this amazing match and earned myself some SPS and Glint tokens.

I hope you loved watching the match which I shared above and also liked reading my battle post. Do you like his new reward monster and would want to use it in your battles too? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Interesting, the armor is very high, but life only 4, but the large armor and the void shield makes this one very formidable. COmbined with a healer with good speed this defender could hold that first position a long time. It is ranged so not first choice, but if you have the feature can attack from first position I think this is a good card to follow your tank in low mana matches, otherwise I would keep it in the back.
Thanks for introducing me to this card. I appreciate it.
