Splinterlands | PIRATE OF EIGHT is an awesome card for low mana limit matches

What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are well and enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now talking about the game, the last ranked season has just ended last night and if you are a splinterlands player, then I guess by now you have claimed your season Glint tokens reward and now started fighting in this brand new season. Now talking about my performance in the last season, I finished playing the season at the Diamond I tier and after the reset trophy reset, I came down to the Diamond I tier and started playing again. Right now, we have a long 15 days in hand to play this season before the timer resets again, so let us all buckle up and put in our best effort and loot those lucrative SPS and Glint tokens. I have already started playing and am holding 2,960 trophies and my immediate goal would be to reach the next tier Diamond II within the next 2 days. Let’s see if I can achieve it.

Now, allow me to move forward and come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about an amazing Water monster which I have started using recently in my lineups and getting good results. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above m, today I will be discussing the PIRATE OF EIGHT. So without wasting any more time, let us jump right in.

PIRATE OF EIGHT

PIRATE OF EIGHT is a brand new card which got released with the Rebellion edition and this is a monster card that belongs to the Water element. It is a rare type of card so you will need a total of 115 BCX cards to upgrade this monster to max level. It costs only 4 mana to be used in battles which means you can easily fit this card in your lineup while playing small to medium mana limit range matches and also in Little League ruleset. It’s attack type is melee and it comes with 2 abilities apart from having decent stats. Let us now take a further look into its league wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster possesses 1 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 health and it also gets 2 abilities since its initial level - Reach and Blast. With the help of the Reach ability, this monster can attack from the second position of your lineup and on the other hand, while attacking a monster, due to having the blast ability, it can do damage to its adjacent Monsters as well.

SILVER

When this card gets upgraded to level 4, it gets an increased 2 melee attack at 3 speed with 4 health along with those 2 abilities which I mentioned above. Thanks to the increased attack power and health it has now become a bit more defensive and offensive.

GOLD

As you upgrade this card to level 6, its stats get increased even more and it possesses 3 melee attack at 3 speed with 5 health. The increased attack power coupled with blast will help you kill down more enemy cards faster.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 8, its stats get increased even more as it gets 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 6 health. But even at max level it does not get any new abilities. However, the high powered stats for just 4 mana is enough I think and will surely help you on the battlefield.

BATTLE STAT

This time I got a small 14 mana limit match where only 2 elements were allowed - Fire and Water. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match Even Stevens, True Strike and Melee only. After looking at the rulesets and mana limit, I thought a little and started building my strategy accordingly and for this match, I chose the water card Kelya Frendul as my summoner and at my front position, I chose the Dumacke Org followed by Pirate of Eight and Torrent Fiend at my last position. After submitting the lineup when both the battle lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent had used Fire summoner Tarsa against me and at his front position, he chose Tusk the wide followed by Scorch Fiend and Antoid Platoon at the end position. Now, let's see who wins this match at the last.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

As the battle began, my Pirate attacked the first and damaged the Tusk and also blast damaged the fiend, followed by my Orc who attacks next and again damaged the Tusk. Then the enemy Tusk attacked and broke some armour from the Orc but also got reverse damaged by its Thorns ability. At round 2 my Pirate again attacked and this time, not only it wounded the Tusk again but also killed down the fiend and thus, all my monsters got their melee attack power increased by 1. Then my Orc attacked and wounded the Tusk down to 2 health and when the tusk attacked next, it got killed due to the Thorns ability.

At round 3, my Pirate attacked again and broke some armour from the Antoid followed by my Orc’s attack which finally broke down the Antoid’s armour. But then the Antoid attacked and got the Thorns damaged in return. At the next round, my Pirate started the round by attacking the Antoid again followed by my Orc, but when the Antoid attacked, it again got wounded by its Thorns ability. Finally, in round 5, my Pirate attacked and killed down the Antoid and thus, I won this amazing match.
