Splinterlands | RIFTWING is an amazing attack-less card

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the weekend summer season with your family and friends. If you are a splinterlands player like me then most probably you have started climbing up on that trophy road and reaching closer to your goal everyday. For me, I am right now fighting in diamond league and battling my way towards Diamond II tier with a current trophy count of 2,900. Only around 9 days left for this ongoing ranked season to end and before that, my goal would be to reach Champ III tier and collect more Glint rewards than last time. I am also thinking to rent some SPS from the in-game SPS delegation market to boost my SPS and Glint token earnings and I may also rent some important cards that I am currently missing in my collection. Sadly, the SPS price is not moving up for a while now and stuck at 0.012$ per unit, many are saying it will touch 0.01$ and then reverse its trend so if that happens, I am thinking to buy s bunch of SPS when it touches 0.01$ price.

On the other hand, the upcoming Rebellion conflict airdrop is about to get unlocked snd distributed only after a handful of hours and I hope all of you are eagerly waiting for this drop to finally become claimable after waiting for a long month. This is the 4th airdrop card from the rebellion edition and will be given those who are staking rebellion packs and cards into their in-game wagons and collecting chances. This upcoming card is ned Lorkus and it is a dual Element summoner card that costs 7 mana to be used in battles and comes with a lot of buffs. For me, till now I have collected a total of 914 chances in this month for this card and now eagerly waiting for those hours to turn 0. For every 300 chances there will be a guaranteed card in this particular card drop and as I have collected 900+ chances already, I will be getting at least 3 cards and if I get Lucky like the last time, I may end up getting more.

Now moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be showcasing an amazing attack less tank card from the chaos edition which has become very useful since the launch of Weapon Training ability in the game. As you have already seen it in the thumbnail Above, today I will be talking about Riftwing. So without any further ado, let us jump right into it.

RIFTWING

Riftwing is a common type monster card that belongs to the chaos legion edition and this card foes not possess any attack power. It belongs to the death element and costs 4 mana to be used in battles. Though it does not have any attack, it gets 4 abilities at max level which becomes super useful in certain conditions. Let us now take a further look into its stats and abilities league wise.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster possesses 4 speed with 6 health and also gets 2 abilities that it gets since its initial level - Flying and Scavenger. With flying ability it will get more chance to evade non flying attackers and also receive no damage in Earthquake ruleset matches. On the other hand, the scavenger ability will increase its max health by 1 each time a card dies in the battle.

SILVER

When this card gets upgraded to level 5, it gets the se stats of 4 speed and 6 health but at this level, it gets another new ability called Backfire. With this new ability, it will give damage to enemy cards if they miss their attack upon it.

GOLD

When you upgrade your card to level 8, it receives an increased stats of 5 speed and 6 health and also gets another ability called Headwinds. Now with this new Headwind ability, this card now can decrease every enemy ranged monster’s attack by 1.

DIAMOND / CHAMP

As this card finally reaches its max level 20, it possesses a further increased stats of 5 speed with 8 health but does not get any new ability at this level. But anyway, the 4 ability that it has now is more than enough for a 4 mana cost.

BATTLE STATS

It was a medium 36 mana match that I got this time and there were all but Dragon element allowed to choose from. There were 3 match rulesets in this one - Only element, No melee and 4 monsters only and after thinking for a second, I decided to build a death lineup with all magic attackers. I I chose the death summoner Thuddius Brood snd selected the USUT as my front defence followed by Riftwing, Skok and Will-O-Wisp at the end position.

As the match continued and both the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent has used a healing + Taunt deck against me and he chose the Lux Vega summoner and at his front he chose Baakjira followed by Djinn Oshannus, Wave Brood and Swamp Spitter at this end position.

Match Begins

As the match started, I decreased his Djinn magic attack down to 1 and then when the fight started, my Usut started attacking the Baakjira with double damage thanks to his Oppress ability. All the 3 monsters in my rear started attacking the wave brood while all of my opponent’s attackers targeted my Usut. As the match continued, my USUT survived well because of his Healing ability and after killing his Wave Brood, all my monsters started attacking the BALJIRA and after killing it, it was easy to kill down the rest monsters. In this match, the Riftwing decreased the attack of 2 enemy range monsters and also attacked well after receiving magic power from Skok. Ao it helped me well and this I won another good match and earned some SPS and Glints.
