Splinterlands | Runemancer Atuat is an amazing underdog card

What’s up Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying these summoner days with your family and friends but in my area, the weather is too hot these days and we can't even go outside due to severe heat waves and scorching heat. So basically I am spending all my day inside my room and keeping myself entertained by watching movies or TV series and of course by playing splinterlands. Now talking about the game, a new UI update just got introduced in the game and the interface has completely changed now and looks so cool. But one problem that is annoying me particularly is the notification for tournaments and Brawls which is reappearing after every single match and we need to manually click to hide them. So I hope the dev team quickly fixes this error as it is ruining my playing experience and guess the feeling is the same with most of you as well.

Now looking at the Rebellion airdrop page, only around 3 days and 11 hours left for the next Rebellion card to get airdropped and distributed among players who have been locking their rebellion packs and cards into wagons and been collecting chances. The next card that is about to get unlocked is named Venka The Vile and I believe this card will be very important in the game just like the rage card. Like many of you, I have been participating in the airdrop since the beginning and for this upcoming one, I have collected a total of 827 chances so far. This time, for every 275 chances we will be getting one guaranteed card and as I have crossed 825 already, I will be getting at least 3 guaranteed cards and if my luck shines, I may even get one more just like the last time. Right now I am earning 129,926 contribution points per hour for all of my staked rebel cards and for every 100k contribution points we get 1 chance. Anyways, only around 3 days remain for the airdrop so lets just cross our fingers and wait for it to try our luck.

Now moving on, let me come towards the main topic of this post as today, I am going to showcase to you one of the cool chaos cards that I believe is very useful but isn't seen very often on the battlefield. As you have already guessed from the thumbnail, today I will be talking about Runemancer Atuat. So without wasting any more time, let us begin.

RUNEMANCER ATUAT

Runemancer Atuat got launched with the Riftwatchers mini edition card-set That falls under chaos and this is a Legendary type card that belongs to the Life element. It costs 9 mana to use this monster card in battles and its attack type is magic. Now let us take a further look at its stats and abilities league-wise below.

Bronze

At level 1, this card possesses 2 magic attack at 1 speed with 3 armour and 9 health and it also gets the Headwinds ability since its initial level. The headwinds ability will reduce all enemy ranges monster’s attack by 1 so this ability is very helpful against ranged cards.

Silver

When being upgraded to level 2, this card remains the same stats as of its previous level but gets a new ability called Forcefield. With this new ability, whenever this card gets attacked with 5 or more power, it only receives 1 damage. So using this ability to defend against large attacks will be very helpful for you.

Gold

When this card reaches its next level 3, it gets 2 magic attack at 1 speed with 3 armour and 10 health and also gets another new ability called Last Stand. With this ability, all the stats of this monster will get increased if it's the only monster alive on your lineup. I am a fan of this ability because this ability is very useful in small mana limit matches when you are using just one or 2 monsters.

Diamond / Champion

When you upgrade this monster to its last level 4, it receives 3 magic attack at 1 speed with 3 armour and 10 health but does not get any new ability at this level. However, with the increased attack power, it will be very helpful to knock down even the strongest mobsters if you can unlock its last stand ability.

This time, I got a whooping large 99 mana limit match where only 4 elements were allowed - Fire, Water, Life and Death. There were 2 rulesets in this match as stated below. Thorns - every monster will receive the thorns ability. Super sneak - All melee monsters will receive the sneak ability in this match.

Battle Begins

In this match, I chose the legendary Life summoner Grandmaster Rathe and at the front position of my lineup, I chose the Uriel the Purifier followed by Corsair Bosun, Adelade Brightwing, Djinn Renova, Iziar and Runemancer Atuat at the end position. When the match was revealed, I found out that my opponent had chosen the Water legendary summoner Possibilus the Wise and at his front position, he chose the Djinn Oshannus followed by Coastal Sentry, Nerissa Tridawn, Rune Crafter, coastal nymph and Arkemis the Bear at his end position.

When the match started, all the enemy monsters started targeting my Iziar because of its Taunt ability, and both his Sentry and Bear started receiving 3 damage because of thorns + amplify ability. On the other hand, my Renova was healing my Iziar so it stayed alive for a long time and got resurrected by my adelade and gave increased stats to its adjacent monsters. My Atuat also helped me in this match by reducing the fanged attacks of the enemy crafter and nymph and also got increased magic attack after my Iziar died 2 times. As you can see from the match, I quickly killed down those 2 enemy melee attackers with thorns and later killed the remaining monsters with my attackers.
