Splinterlands | SOUL STRANGLER is the best 3 mana card in Chaos Legion

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and enjoying this awesome day with your family and friends. For those who play splinterlands daily, I guess all of you are applying your full strength right now into the ranked season because already 4 days have passed since the new season started and we have to push our trophy eating from now on. During the last season's end, I felt so hard to reach my goal because all the OG players were active and playing with their Gold level Collection. So this season I have thought to push from the beginning and try to reach my goal as soon as possible. Right now I am playing at the Diamond III tier with a trophy rating of 2,900 and I will try to reach the next tier Diamond II within the next 2 days. But before that, I need to rent the cards that I am missing in my deck.

Now, allow me to come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another awesome card and for this, I am sure every one of you uses this monster often in your lineups. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above. Today I will be talking about SOUL STRANGLER. So, without anymore further ado, let us jump right in.

Soul Strangler

SOUL STRANGLER is a monster card that falls under the core Chaos Legion edition card set. This monster belongs to the Death Element and its attack type is ranged. In order to use this monster in battles, you would only need 3 mana, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to large mana limit matches. The type of this card is rare, so you will need a total of 115 BCX of cards to upgrade this card to the maximum level. The main feature of this card is its high ranged attack that comes just for a 3 mana cost. Let us now take a deeper into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 2, this card possesses 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 2 health. Though this card does not get any ability at the bronze league, its high 2 attack power will be very helpful in matches.

SILVER

When this card reaches level 4, its attack power gets increased to 3 at 3 speed with 2 health. But it does not get any ability at this league as well.

GOLD

If you upgrade this card to Gold league, this monster will receive a further increased 4 ranged attack at 3 speed with 3 health. However, sadly this card doesn't get any ability at this level but, its high attack will be enough to kill down enemy cards faster.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its highest level of 8, it possesses 4 ranged attack at 3 speed with 4 health. Gladly, it receives an ability named Poison at its final level and this ability will definitely be useful in battles.

BATTLE STATS

This time I got a large 49 mana match where only Death element was allowed and also, there was only 1 ruleset applied in this match - No Magic. After seeing all these rulesets and limitations, I started thinking about my lineup and decided to use ranged attacks with melee cards at the front. For my line-up, I chose the Legendary Death summoner Astral Entity and at my first position, and I chose Night Ghoul at my first position followed by Arachne Thug, Queen of Crows, Rune Crafter, Supply Runner and the Soul Strangler at the end position of my lineup.

When both of the lineups got revealed later in the match, I saw that my opponent had chosen the Lux Vega summoner with Death cards and at his front position, he chose the Harklaw followed by Drybone Raider, Supply Runner, Lira the Dark, Weirding Warrior and Dhampir Stalker at the end position. Just like me, he also chooses mostly Range attackers with 2 heavy melee monsters in the front position. Now let’s see who wins this match.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

As the battle started, the enemy Lira the Dark launched the first attack but missed its shot on my Night Ghoul and also the Weirding Warrior who next missed its attack on the Ghoul. My Soul Strangler also attacked the enemy Harklaw and though the Harklaw had Shield ability, it still wounded down 2 health from him. However, no monsters died in the first round. In the second round, the Lira again along with Supply Runner and Harklaw missed their attacks on the Night Ghoul. However, the Raider finally killed down my Ghoul but gladly, my Ghoul again got Revived thanks to the ability of Astral Entity. Next, my Queen of Crows attacked and killed the enemy Harklaw and then my Soul Strangler attacked and broke down the Raider’s armour and also applied Poison upon it.

At round 3, the Dhampir Stalker finally killed down my Ghoul and then, my Arachne Thug attacked and killed down the Raider and launched another attack on the Supply Runner. After that, my Soul Stranger attacked and killed down the wounded Supply Runner. Then the next monster that came to the front was Lira the Dark which also got taken care of by Rune Crafter. At Round 4, my Supply Runner and Arachne attacked the Weirding Warrior and killed it down and then, my Arachne launched another attack and wounded the Dhampir Stalker. My Queen attacked next and wounded the Dhampir and at last, my Soul Strangler launched the last attack and killed down the Dhampir and thus, I won the match.
