What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying this amazing game in your daily free time. Well, if you are an active splinterlands player, then you must have noticed that the last ranked season just ended recently and a fresh new season has also started. Those of you who played into the last season must have claimed your Glint points by now and started playing into this ongoing season. Now for my stats, hopefully, I achieved my goal in the last ranked season as I somehow reached the Champion League on the last day and just before the season and stopped playing afterward so that I don't lose my spot. So after the season reset, I have come down to Diamond II tier instead of Diamond III and am currently sitting with a trophy rating of 3,200. Now, we have again almost 15 days in hand before this season meets its end, but I have decided to push my trophies since the beginning phase of this season as well because that’s what helped me reach the Champ league in the last season. So I will start playing again from today onwards and let’s see how it goes this time.

Now moving forward, we all know about the crazy new reward card set that recently got introduced in the game and most of you must have already gathered these cards and played with them. I also liked most of the cards in this reward set and in today’s post I will be showcasing 2 such reward cards which cost only 1 mana. I really liked and believe will be very useful in this game. So if you are interested, let us jump right in without any further ado.

Surly Drunk

The first card that I will be talking about today is SURLY DRUNK and I really liked the monster character which looks like a lizard and has a long tail and as the picture shows above, I think he really loves to drink a lot. This reward card belongs to the Fire element and it only costs 1 mana to be used in battles. So you can easily choose him while playing small or medium mana limit mathes. The attack type of this monster is melee and it is a legendary card, which means you will need a total of 11 BCX of cards to upgrade it to max level.

As you can see from the monster’s stats which I shared in the screenshot above, this monster possesses the Opportunity ability since its initial level which will be very helpful to kill down low health enemy cards. Though this card only starts with 1 attack power, its melee attack gets increased to 2 at its max level, which is a big deal if you consider its mana cost. It also comes with a good speed and decent health stat and not to forget, it will definitely help you to build even stronger opportunity / sneak lineups. However, due to its weak health when compared to other cards, be sure to protect this card against enemy attacks.

Endless Gibbon

The second monster that I would like to mention here is ENDLESS GIBBON. This adorable little Money is not here to entertain you. As the image displays, he wears a red warrior belt around his waist and knows how to defeat his enemies using ancient monkey-fu art. This reward card belongs to the Water element and its attack type is melee. Just like the card above, this monster also only costs 1 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily select him while playing small to medium mana limit matches. It is a legendary card so it will need a total of 11 BCX of cards to be upgraded to max level.

As you can see from the screenshot above describing its level wise stat, we see it gets the Reach ability since its initial level, so you can use this card at your second position of the lineup and it will start launching attacks when its turn comes. However c it does not get any new abilities even at its max level. It possesses only 1 melee attack at the beginning but at its final level, its attack also gets increased to 2, which will be very helpful to kill down enemy cards faster. However, even at max level it only holds 2 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 health which is good considering its low mana cost but would be considered weak against most of the monsters.

I hope you liked reading my splinterlands post about these 2 new cards and let me know which among them you like more. Let me know your thoughts about the reward cards in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

That's cool, we need more low mana cards in the Splinterlands. I've started replaying the game, so I am still discovering the new reward cards.

yup, and they are very helpful in low mana + little leagues too! Try to gather as many glint points as possible and use them on draws to get these cards faster Behiver 😇

Do you recommend any type of chests/rewards to buy with Glint? For me is too confusing or I am too lazy to put any math into what's the best option to chose upon...

Chests are not a very good choice if you particularly want cards only, I would suggest using your glints to buy Card draws. ex - Legendary or common draws depending on which types of cards you need.

I always use this strategy of using card draws instead of loot chests as most of the time loot chests will have those potions or guild tokens. So, if we have to level up the reward cards fast, I feel it's best to use the card draws.

These 1 MANA cost monsters are always fun and in low MANA cost battles and battles with same health rule sets, these will be awesome as we get the enhanced health and these monsters with 1 MANA cost will be like any huge MANA Ones.

The 1 mana cards are must have. In low mana matches they are game changing
