Splinterlands | This new Reward Sneak card only costs 1 mana

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your loved ones and also playing this game in your daily free time and winning SPS while having a good time. Since the release of the Brand new Rebellion Reward edition cards, the game has changed quite a lot, especially in Modern format and not only these new cards are appearing in the lower league matches, but I am also seeing them being used against me in Diamond league. This new addition of reward cards into the game is certainly changing playing strategies and for me, though I still have them only at low levels, I am also trying to use them in battles to find out their worth so I can upgrade the ones first that stand out. Now looking at the current ranked season, it seems we only started playing this season but in reality, we only have 8 days and 20 hours left when I am writing this post, so clearly we do not have much time left. Last season, I somehow made my way up to the Champion League but sadly, I lost a lot of matches while playing on the last day and came down to Diamond I league. So this time I am trying to climb up earlier (already at D2) and ignore playing during the final day.

Now moving on, allow me to come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another new card from the latest Rebellion Reward set with you all. This card just costs 1 mana but is super useful and you will find out why later in this post. As you have already seen above, today I will be showcasing GRIFZI, so without any further ado, let us all jump right in.

Grifzi

GRIFZI is a monster type card that belongs to the Death element and as I said above, this card only costs 1 mana to be used in battles, so you can place this monster in your lineup easily while Fighting small to medium mana limit matches. Its attack type is melee and it also comes with decent health and speed comparing its mana cost. This is a legendary type card so you will need a total of 11 cards to upgrade this monster to max level and the main feature of this card is its Sneak ability. Let us now take a deeper look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more about this amazing monster.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card has a very decent stats of 1 melee attack at 2 speed with 2 health but I think it’s reasonable if compared with its mana cost. As for abilities, it gets the Sneak ability since its initial level, with which it can attack the monster placed in the last position.

SILVER

At level 2, this card receives the same 1 melee attack and 2 speed, but gladly its health gets increased from 2 to 3. However, it does not get any new ability at level 2.

GOLD

When it gets upgraded to level 3, it possesses the same 1 melee attack and 3 health as of its previous level but its speed gets increased from 2 to 3. But sadly, it does not get any new ability at Gold League.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level 4, it gets the most needed stats upgrade as its melee attack power gets increased from 1 to 2, however, its speed and health stats remain the same as of its previous level and also it does not get any new ability even at its max level.

BATTLE STAT

I was looking for suitable matches to use my new reward cards and after fighting for a while, I finally got a match where I could use my GRIFZI. It was a small 21 mana limit match and there were 4 elements allowed in this match - Fire, Water, Death and Dragon. There were also. 3 rulesets applied in this battle - Knock Out, Silence Summoners and No Range. As we can only use either melee or magic monsters in this match, I decided to use melee attackers and started forming my strategy accordingly.

For this match, I used the Waka Spiritblade summoner from Death element and at my front position, I chose the Cursed Windeku as my first lineup of defence followed by Grifzi, Life Sapper, Silent Xha-Vi, Uraeus and the Corpse Fiend. Anyway, when both the lineups got revealed, I saw that my opponent has used the Water summoner Kelya Frendul and at his front defence position, he chose the Cruel Sethropod followed by Tide Biter, Merdaali Guardian, Uraeus, Pelacor Bandit and Chaos Agent at his last position. Just like me he also chose Sneak Monsters as his attacking strategy and let’s now see who actually wins the match.

As the match started, my Xha-vi launched the first attack and wounded the Chaos Agent but then, the enemy Bandit attacked and killed my Fiend. But after I killed his Agent with my Uraeus, When my Grifzi’s turn came, it actually got successful in targeting the Pelacor Bandit despite its Flying ability + High Speed and wounded its health down by 1. In the next round, my Xha-Bi and Uraeus again teamed up and killed Down the Pelacor and then, my Grifzi attacked and broke down the enemy Uraeus’s armour, leaving its health exposed. Sadly my Uraeus died due to poison in the third round but my Grifzi quickly took its place and after my Xha-Vi wounded the enemy Uraeus and left it with 1 health, my Grifzi attacked and killed it down successfully. The same happens later in round 4 where first my Xha-Vi wounded the merdaali and then my Grifzi killed it down. Finally, at round 5, the only enemy monster alive was the Tide Biter and my Life Sapper landed the final blow and killed it down.
