What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing amazing and enjoying a pleasant day with your family and friends. For those who are playing splinterlands, I guess all of you have buckled up and fighting in the arena right now, as we have come so close to the end of this ongoing season. Right now, we have only 5 days left in our hands before this current season meets its end, so I hope all of you are putting in your best efforts right now in order to reach your goals in this season, be it to reach a certain league or tier or fight in the Champion leaderboard. Now talking about me, as usual, I am playing in the Diamond League and right now, I am battling at the Diamond II tier with a current trophy rating of 3,380. I had already reached D1 but then I lost some matches back to back which caused me to lose my position and come down to D2 again. But well, I will keep trying if I can touch the Champion League until the season ends and let's see where it takes me.

Now, allow me to come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about a mobster that we don't generally see often being used in battles, but I have to admit that it does possess a serious level of power within him. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about ZYVAX VUUL, so without any further ado, let us jump right in!

Zyvax Vuul

ZYVAX VUUL is a monster card that was released with the old core Chaos Legion edition. This monster belongs to the Dragon element and it is a legendary card, which means it will take only 11 BCX of cards to be upgraded to max level. This monster costs 8 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit him in your lineup while playing medium to high mana limit matches. Its attack type is Ranged and apart from having a good attack power it also holds some very powerful abilities including Close Range, Flying, etc. Let us now take a deeper look into its league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card possesses 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 8 health and apart from that, it also gets 2 abilities since its initial level - Flying and Charge. With the help of the flying ability, it will have more chance to evade melee and ranged attacks from non-flying enemy cards and on the other hand, with The Recharge ability it will only attack every other round but will do 3x damage than its base attack power.

SILVER

As this monster upgrades to level 2, it gets 2 ranged attacks at 3 speed with an increased 9 health and also gets a new ability called Close Range. With this new ability, it can now attack from the first position as well, though it is a ranged card.

GOLD

When it goes up to level 3, it receives an increased 3 ranged attack at 3 speed with 9 health and at this point, the 3 ranged attack coupled with Recharge will do a devastating 9 damage in enemy cards. However, it does not get any new ability at this level.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to level 4, it will possess 3 ranged attack at 3 speed with 9 health and also gets a new ability called Deathblow with which, it will now do 2x damage to an enemy card if that card is the last alive unit in the lineup.

BATTLE STAT

Today when playing splinterlands, I found an awesome match with a large 54 mana limit match where 4 elements were allowed to choose from - Fire, Water, Earth and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Scattershot, Only Ranged and Close Range. So in this match, we can only use range monsters and all of them can attack from the first place. So after thinking for some time, I finally came up with a strategy and started building my lineup accordingly.

First of all, I chose the Legendary Dragon summoner Quix and at my front defense position, I chose the Drybone Raider followed by Angelic Mandarin, Zyvax Vuul, Sea Stalker, Runic Skyclaw and Wave Brood at the end position. When both the lineups got revealed, I saw that my opponent had also used the same Dragon summoner Quix but with Fire cards and at his first position, he had chosen the Molten Ash Golem followed by Drybone Raider, Lava Launcher, Ash Mirage, Supply Runner and Countess Sinash at the end position of his lineup.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

As the battle began, all the mobsters started attacking randomly due to scattershot and in the first round, my Vuul got attacked multiple times and he ended the round having only 4 health. However, I successfully killed one of his mobsters - Countess who is a very powerful monster and also wounded the Molten badly with my Drybone.

In the next round, my Skyclaw killed down the Molten, followed by the enemy Ash Mirage and Lava Launcher who together targeted my Vuul, but though Ash missed its attack, the Lava hit it badly and left my Vuul with only 1 health. But luckily, my Mandarin healed it back to 3 health. The enemy Drybone also killed my Drybone and then, finally my Vuul attacked and wounded the enemy Ash down to 4 health.

In the next round, my Vuul again went to sleep and got attacked, but then saved again by my Mandarin. But then it evaded multiple attacks from the enemy Drybone which literally turned the match. Finally, in round 4 the Drybone again attacked and killed my Vuul, but by then I also wounded his backline monsters and at last, I killed all his monsters before he could do it and thus, I won this match.

I hope all of you loved watching the match that I shared above and also liked reading my battle post. Do you also use this monster or choose other monsters over it, let me know in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Impressive battle with Zyvax
I have not leveled up this card
It is risky to wait the recharge ability to strike and not miss
