I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I will bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. In this post, I'll share my drawing process, my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card quite different from the original. I hope you like my version.

The monster I drew today is named COASTAL SENTRY. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-

My Drawing

The steps began by drawing the body structure of the character. I used the 2B pencil tool to draw these primary lines. It took me a while to pull this structure. First of all, I'm drawing after almost a month and this is a fully new shape for me that I'm drawing. That's why it took me some time to erase and fix the lines.

After that, I used a 4B pencil and HB pencil tools to bolden the borderlines. I also added all the necessary details such as her dress, weapon and the details needed to decorate her dress.

After I was done with the sketching part. Now it was time to add colours to the sketch. I began by adding a primary colour for her skin tone. And to match the character theme, I decided to give her this skin tone. However, I believe she would look amazing in normal human skin colour. But this one also suits her well and looks gorgeous too.

Then I started to add the shades one by one. I began by completing the skin tone of her facial skin and then drew her eyes and lips too. and then in the end I worked with her body skin tone too. I drew the shades by adding deeper colours and then adding off-white colours with the spray brush tool on top of it.

Then I started to draw her clothing and decorations. Her brasier has a glittering effect and this one took me a long time to draw. I had to add multiple colour layers only for the primary colour and then had to draw the glitters one by one.

And then I drew her hair. I used a smooth brush tool with a deep green colour. I followed the sketch lines with the brush to draw her hair. I drew the sketch lines in separate layers and deleted the hair sketch lines after I coloured them. And then I started to draw the lower part of her body. I added the primary colour layers at the beginning.

And then I started the shading process. To do that I first added deeper colour layers and then I used the spray brush tool to add the white shade to her clothing. Here's the steps below one by one:-

Then in this step, I worked with the decoration part. I added the glitters to her bottom part. Adding this amount of glitter took me a hell of a time. Then I drew her bangles and a few decorative parts. And then I started drawing her weapon. To draw that I first added the primary colours to her weapon. And then used the same shading process to finalize the shading of her weapon.

Then I added the background to finalize the drawing. I drew the whole background one by one but I added the seaweed from the drawing app that I used.
