Card Details
A Chaos Legion edition epic level monster from the Earth unit at level 2:
- Estimated cost: $3.182
- Magic attack: 1
- Speed: 2
- Health: 3
- Amplify ability - Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.
The Dax Paragon is an epic-level monster from the Life unit of the Chaos Legion edition. This monster at level 2 possesses a magic attack of 1, a speed of 2, and a health of 3. Its unique ability, Amplify, increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1. Dax is not just any ordinary monster; it has rich lore and a well-known reputation as an advisor to the most powerful person in the Splinterlands, Silus of the Rift. The mere mention of his name is enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest of men. But most important is that it has a very low mana cost, which is a vital benefit as it can slot into many battles of various mana costs and rulesets.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
While its lore may showcase that its bark is worse than its bite, in this battle, it was able to support the battle and clinch the victory against the opponents. It synergized well with Djinn Chwala, who was able to soak up the majority of the damage and inflict severe damage back to the opposition with its Thorns ability that Dax Paragon buffed. I placed Dax smack bang in the middle of the backline so that it could be shielded and protected by the rest of the backline, and this was enough to clinch a satisfying victory.
Do you like the Dax Paragon? Why or why not?
The Dax Paragon commands a reasonable price on the market. I think its low mana cost adds to its usefulness and can be synergized nicely with many monsters due to its Amplify ability. The only other magic monster with the Amplify ability at level 2 is the Cabalist, but its mana cost is 7. I think the Dax Paragon is a valuable addition to any splinterlands collection, maybe not for its raw power but for its Amplify ability which serves as a great support monster in battle while not costing much mana.
