Card, DEC, SPS - best way to earn most?
In splinterlands you can earn by playing - but also by hodling cards, DEC and SPS and hope that the value will go up. What is best to own if I dont want to play?
Well that is impossible to say but I made som calculations...
CARDS
Yes I know cards value has gone crazy. What do you think a normal card will be worth in 12 month? Lets say +100 %.... If I think cards will increase so much it should be a amazing investment.
But if you have cards you can still rent them out at market at a ratio of 50-60% APR (higher in the end of the season)
Lets say total wih value increase +150% in a year?
DEC
DEC value will in some way follow cards value. So in some way - if you invest in DEC you still bet on higher card prices in USD.
BUT - when you hodl DEC you earn SPS-points and for that you get SPS.
I calculated that I need about 6500 points to get 1 SPS just now.
6500 DEC = 48 USD (we can say 50 USD)
1 SPS = 0,35 USD
So by just hodl 50 USD in my wallt I get 0,35 USD in SPS. That is 250% APR. YES - I know that you get less everyday but this calculation is just for 30 days so I think it is pretty ok.
DEC is not moving = +250% APR in SPS
DEC is going up = valueincrease and 250% in SPS
ANd remember to stake all your SPS so you get even more.
Just now it looks better to hodl DEC then cards...
SPS/BNB pool
I also have some money in SPS/BNB pool. Every day since start this pool has given about 100 % APR. Thats crazy nice! Lucky for me both BNB and SPS has go up so the pool is up 50% since july. With fees and farming cake this is a way to use SPS.
JUst keep SPS
Just now you get 136% in SPS by hodl by stake SPS.
DEC/BUSD
THe pool DEC/BUSD in cubfinance gives less then 10% APR. BUt you get SPS-points for half of the value of your pool (numbers of DEC).
JUST NOW:..
For me - Just now just hodl DEC in HE or game is the best way to increase the value.
Or do you have some other idea?
I'm in the DEC>BUSD pool and have lost a ton of DEC as the price has risen so much. I've gained SPS and CUB so $ amount is still up.
10% APR is really rubbish compared to what I can get elsewhere.
I don't think this is right though. You get double points for all the DEC in the pool. 😊

Yes I can see that. But if DEC not is moving this is a good way to earn more.
But....to sell thoose busd to dec and just keep dec Will obviosly give more. (And more risky)
Do you get 2 points for every dec in pool? That sounds good- but not enough good.

.@gillianpearece is right. You get x2 SPS for DEC pooled on CUB. But, just holding the DEC is just as lucrative as you don't need to put up the 50% BUSD to get in the pool and run the risk of losing a bunch of DEC.
Thanks!
If that pool had given higher APR it could have been a choice. But it is not
Where are you, my friend? It's been a long time since I talked to you.
True. I am not at hive so often nowdays. I play splinterlands but not blogging. Had to decide to take a paus and focus at other things in life. But I am at discord if you want to say hi :-)
With cold winter greating from Sweden (it was -16 celsius last week)

Well the DEC/BUSD pool has half of your DEC in BUSD so technically I would say the amount of DEC you have is about the same. Personally I like the fact that the DEC value is way above the peg because it means that if prices drop, my DEC will naturally increase in that pool (BUSD swapped for DEC).
