Society's Shifting Perceptions of Truth

(Edited)

Everybody has their hypothesis on what happened last weekend. Even more seem to have "theories". At first, I was exhausted thinking about all the deep, profound meanings we would have to hear about being found in the static of last Saturday. You can connect a lot of dots in a rorschach

It got me thinking though, there is at least something to be proud of. I remember back in Y2K realizing what a stack of cards our society is built on, and through the political events of that time, that the truth wasnt what we were told. I was only then realizing there was a curtain, let alone activity behind it creating what we believed to be true. At that time it wasn't so easy to talk publicly about the connections that seemed so obvious, most of which are now accepted fact.

While I can't help but be bewildered by some of the things I have heard seemingly healthy people say since Saturday, its really struck me just how acceptable it is now to talk about the conspiracy behind everything. Not just in certain circles, but everywhere. Mainstream news, conservative groups... everywhere.

If nothing else, it's now not only accepted to question what you are told, but even publicly encouraged to personally evaluate what your eyes have seen. There are still a lot of sheep, but it feels the status quo is erroding. That in itself is something major!
