Intro
I go by the name of monster-hunter. I live in New Zealand and have been playing Splinterlands and dCrops since 2021. Over the last couple of months I have powered up some Hive, and have been checking out other dApps and communities on the Hive blockchain. Which lead me here, to make my first foray into the blogging world.
Why am I called monster-hunter?
When I signed up for Splinterlands it asked me to enter a name. I had recently been watching some anime and was inspired by Hunter x Hunter and then when I put my impressions of the anime and Splinterlands together I came up with 'monster-hunter'. I didn't realize till later that there is a video game and movie by the same name. Although the movie is pretty cool.

My Interests
I'm the kind of person who wants to learn everything. Alas, we are only given a limited amount of time on this earth. Here are some of my interests.
Splinterlands
I love the strategy that is involved in Splinterlands and the ability to play quick matches. I like the way it is designed where you only have a limited amount of games you can play per day. It means I don't feel the pressure to have to continually grind and get burnt out as is the case with the majority of other games.
Gardening
Fitness
I have recently joined the Actifit community. I have been so busy with work and some ongoing health challenges that my physical health has plateaued. I am hoping that by joining this community it will spur me on to achieve my fitness goals and improve my well being.
Music
I play a little bit of guitar, ukulele and piano and like to dabble with music creation. I have FL Studio as a DAW. I am finding it very inspiring what some people are posting in the various Music communities on Hive and plan to explore more.
Anime
A few years back I had a friend who introduced me to anime and I have never looked back. I am always on the hunt for a good anime.
Writing
Story is a powerful medium and one that I would like to learn more about. I have been reading some of the posts in the various writing communities on Hive and will look to give it a go.
The Future
I am looking forward to discovering more and contributing to this amazing community.
