Opening Pack in Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge [EN/ES]

Greetings HiversNfts, in this Social Media Challenge I share with you the joy of opening several packs of Splinterlands cards.

Many already know what the Splinterlands game is about, how fun it is and the potential it has, but for those who don't know, it is a turn-based card game where each card has unique characteristics and abilities, it also has several elements such as water, fire, earth, life, neutral and dragon, for now.

The cards are NFTs assets that can be sold in the game's internal market for some tokens. Besides that, the cards have a weight in power within the game, this power allows us to advance in the different leagues, for example to advance to "Bronze I" league we must have a minimum of 5000 power. If you do not have this, there is always the possibility of renting cards in the market, although the ideal is to have your own power.

Muchos ya saben de que va el juego Splinterlands lo divertido que es y el potencial que tiene, pero para los que no lo saben, es un juego de cartas por turnos donde cada carta cuenta con características y habilidades únicas, además tiene varios elementos como agua, fuego, tierra, vida, neutral y dragón, por ahora.

Las cartas son activos NFTs que pueden ser vendidos en el mercado interno del juego por algunos tokens. Además de eso, las cartas tienen un peso en poder dentro del juego, este poder nos permite avanzar en las diferentes ligas, por ejemplo para avanzar a liga "Bronce I" debemos tener un mínimo de 5000 de poder. Si no se cuenta con éste siempre existe la posibilidad de alquilar cartas en el mercado, aunque lo ideal es tener poder propio.

In my case, some time ago in order to go up to "Bronze II" I had to go to the market and rent some cards, since I did not have the necessary power, but today I already have enough power to enter this league, in fact I am very close to reach 5000 power and enter "Bronze I" without the need to rent cards. My current power is 4220.

How have I done it? Well, by buying cards or packs, besides winning some in various contests that are held in the different communities.

En mi caso, tiempo atrás para poder subir a "Bronce II" debía ir al mercado y alquilar algunas cartas, ya que no contaba con el poder necesario, pero hoy día ya cuento con el poder propio suficiente para entrar a esta liga, de hecho me falta muy poco para alcanzar los 5000 de poder y entrar a "Bronce I" sin necesidad de alquilar cartas. Mi poder actual es de 4220.

¿Cómo lo he hecho? pues comprando cartas o paquetes, además de ganarme algunas en concursos varios que hacen en las diferentes comunidades.

This time I am going to open two Gladius packs, which have cards that can only be used in the so-called Brawls, where the different clans face each other. Participating in these tournaments provides a currency that can be exchanged for these Gladius card packs and other items in the clan store. Gladius cards also have power that is taken into account for advancement in the leagues, that's why I buy them whenever I can.

En esta ocasión voy a abrir dos paquetes Gladius, los cuales tienen cartas que solo pueden ser usadas en los llamados Brawls, donde se enfrentas los diferentes clanes. Participar en estos torneos aporta una moneda que puede ser canjeada por estos pack de cartas Gladius y otros items dentro de la tienda del clan. Las cartas Gladius también cuentan con poder que es tomado en cuenta para el avance en las ligas, es por esto que las compro cada vez que puedo.

I had 6300 Merits earned through participation in the different Brawls and I opted to buy two Gladius packs. At the time of opening I got two rare cards. I am always excited to open packs of cards because you never know what you will get, in the case of Gladius cards you don't lose anything because the Merits are obtained by participating in the Brawls, but in the case of the normal packs you can lose money.

Contaba con 6300 Meritos conseguidos a través de la participación de los diferentes Brawls y opté por comprar dos pack Gladius. Al momento de la apertura conseguí dos cartas raras. Siempre me emociona abrir paquetes de cartas porque nunca se sabe que conseguire, en el caso de cartas Gladius no se pierde nada porque los Meritos son obtenidos por participar en las Brawls, pero en el caso de los Pack normales si se puede dar el caso de perder dinero.

As you can see Gladius cards also have elements and rarities, in this case I only got two rare cards, all of them are very good, especially for the fact that they are so aggressive and have the Bloodlust ability that gives them +1 point in all their stats when an opponent dies.

Como ven las cartas Gladius también tienen elementos y rarezas, en este caso solo conseguí dos de tipo rara, todas son muy buenas, sobre todo por el hecho de ser tan agresivas y contar con la habilidad Bloodlust que les otorga +1 punto en todas sus estadísticas cuando un oponente muere.

Now this is the part that excites me the most because of the risk involved, the opening of 2 Pack Chaos Legion, the current price of such a pack is 4$ paid in credits. However the game has the facility to deposit money to the account with different wallet.

Ahora bien, esta es la parte que más me emociona por el riesgo que implica, la apertura de 2 Pack Chaos Legion, el precio actual de un pack de este tipo es de 4$ pagados en creditos. Sin embargo el juego tiene la facilidad de ingresar dinero a la cuenta con diferentes wallet.

In my first opening I got two rare cards, RIVER NYMPH of the water element which I didn't have in my deck, and PORTAL SPINNER of the life element which I also didn't have in my deck, this last card I will be using frequently since its ability to hit at a random distance confuses the enemy a little bit.

En mi primera apertura me tocaron dos cartas raras, RIVER NYMPH del elemento agua la cual no la tenía en mi mazo, y PORTAL SPINNER del elemento vida que tampoco tenía en mi mazo, esta última carta la estaré usando frecuentemente ya que su habilidad de golpear a distancia de forma aleatoria confunde un poco al enemigo.

In the second opening I did better, I got two rare cards and one epic. GENERAL SLOAN is a life element summoner that gives +1 ranged attack point to all cards that have this type of attack, this card can be used without having it in possession as it comes by default in the spellbook deck but it is always better to have it as NFT to increase its level in the future. The other rare card is XENITH ARCHER from the neutral element, it is a low mana cost card used to distract enemy attacks or to fill in.

But the protagonist of this opening is a card I met last week with the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!, I'm talking about the Epic card DJINN INFERNI from the fire element, with 3 magic attack points, a decent speed and life, although its mana cost is high I think it's a good card and I like it a lot. I enjoyed using it in the last challenge and I was just thinking about buying it in the market, it won't be necessary anymore.

En la segunda apertura me fue mejor, obtuve dos cartas raras y una épica. GENERAL SLOAN es un invocador del elemento vida que otorga +1 punto de ataque a distancia a todas las cartas que tengan este tipo de ataque, esta carta puede ser utilizada sin tenerla en posesión ya que viene por defecto en el mazo del libro de hechizos pero siempre es mejor tenerla como NFT para aumentarle el nivel en un futuro. La otra carta rara es XENITH ARCHER del elemento neutral, es una carta de bajo coste de mana usada para distraer ataques del enemigo o para rellenar.

Pero la protagonista de esta apertura es una carta que conocí la semana pasada con el SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!, hablo de la carta Epica DJINN INFERNI del elemento fuego, con 3 puntos de ataque mágico, una rapidez y vida decente, aunque su coste de mana es alto creo que es buena carta y me gusta mucho. Disfrute utilizarla en el challenge pasado y justo estaba pensando en comprarla en el market, ya no será necesario.
