Splinterland art contest Grum FlameBlade

Hello. How are you all?
Well, this week I decided to make a rendering of a chaos legion card that I didn't know about; Grum Flameblade.
Grum Flameblade is a warrior by nature, the strongest of his tribe, a symbol of strength, and invincible in battle when it comes to 1v1 clashes.
He is a formidable warrior, respected by his tribe, whose qualities are pride and the relentless search for new adventures and more formidable enemies to defeat.

Although he cannot be defeated in 1v1 matches, Grumflameblade will soon find that he cannot handle the collective might of the Chaos Legion and will soon join their battlefields.

Based on his lore and as I intuited from the beginning, I decided to make a leader, shortly before he joined the chaos legion. I decided to put him in action destroying and filling with fire all the places where he passed in search of battlefields.
I had thought of doing it by leading an original army, but ended up leaning towards defining him in more detail. Since making an army required multiple amounts of details and it would be impossible for me to finish it in the expected time.

I took a little more time than usual to define his muscles since I don't tend to make such muscular characters, I quite liked the result.
For coloring, I changed the usual way I usually paint it, I gave simple colors to the body and little by little I incorporated shadows and nuances.
I usually tend to develop my drawings step by step, modifying and repositioning my ideas as they come to mind. However for this occasion he had a clear view of what he wanted. I used some references of ogres and orcs which helped me a lot on the shading issue.
I have a tendency to like strong colors, sometimes I shade the images too much and the details are lost and I have to do them again hahahaha.

I think it is one of the drawings that I have most enjoyed doing with my favorite leader pyre, and I think it is one of the drawings that I liked the most as it turned out.
