My Energy Dilemma in Splinterlands After Spending Glint on Chests

Recently, I decided to dive into the Splinterlands Reward shop and finally use my accumulated Glint to open chests at the beginning of each Season. This decision has brought an unexpected side effect—an influx of energy to play games with. While this may seem like a great problem to have, it’s created a bit of a dilemma for someone like me who is always focused on optimizing my gameplay.

For a long time, I’ve made it a point to keep my energy levels below the maximum cap of 50. This strategy ensures that my energy is constantly recharging, allowing me to play more efficiently and maximize my rewards. However, after opening my chests with Glint, I’ve found myself with an abundance of energy, which disrupts my usual routine.

On one hand, the extra energy is a good thing. It allows me to play more games, which means I can earn more Glint and rewards throughout the Season. But on the other hand, it’s a bit stressful trying to burn through the excess energy quickly enough to bring it back below 50. I want to make sure it’s always charging and not going to waste.

I’m still adjusting to this new dynamic. One potential solution I’m considering is opening my chests slowly throughout the Season instead of all at once. This approach might help me manage my energy levels more effectively while still taking advantage of the rewards. However, I remain concerned about the team’s ongoing adjustments to pricing, especially with the introduction of the new Soulbound rewards cards from the Rebellion edition. The recent price increases make it even more critical to optimize my gameplay and Glint usage.

Overall, this is a learning experience, and I’m adapting to the changes in my Splinterlands routine. While the extra energy has thrown me off balance a bit, it’s also an opportunity to explore new strategies and make the most of the resources I have. I’m curious to see how this will play out in the long run and whether I’ll find a more balanced approach to managing my energy and Glint throughout each Season.

Opening a bunch of chests at once is nice, but you do lose out on energy regeneration so ultimately not worth it in my opinion. Plus, if you're actually playing the game then 70 battles is a lot to go through. Opening throughout the season is my current strategy now.

Yeap, I tried that this past Season... I opened my chests in groups then played until back to zero before opening my next set of chests. Already got through all chests already with a good amount of new Glint for the Season!

Yeah, I always make sure when I open chests that the energy level doesn't come close to 50. The highest I had was 37, I think. But you gotta allow some room for regeneration to work, and it won't if you have your energy level above 50.

I didn't expect to get so much energy in chests but now I get down to zero before starting to open chests and stop once I am above 40.
